Room was large and very good, wifi worked
Just about every aspect of this hotel was perfect, with the exception of power shower, but, that did not spoil our excellent visit and we will look forward to booking the hotel when we next go to the Chichester Theatre!
Gorgeous bar and dining area with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Centrally located. Highly recommended
Food, restaurant service, staff service, location, choice of breakfast.
The shower was not powerful enough to wash and rinse my hair.
we had a superior double room which was quite spacious and very comfortable. The location is great if you are going to the theatre, just a few minutes walk. Very nice bar area and restaurant
The hotel had a lovely ambiance, was nicely decorated and furnished and had personable staff.
On a personal note, the mattress on the bed was way too soft and being tall, do not like beds with footboards as well as headboards as it is too restrictive.
The hotel has just been refurbished and has had a fortune spent on it, (and it shows). Great location, great staff, value for money! Breakfast was great. Loved our time there.
Hot room ( but found 2 fans in room) which made it pleasant. Noisy lift (needed some WD40!) Had a meal at Murrys which was Quite disappointing. Asked for nearby restaurants overlooking harbour, didn't know.
Location excellent; staff helpful and polite. Elegant building.
Very poky bedroom, large decorative cushions with nowhere to put them. Modest tea-making facilities, tiny TV. For a four-star, undistinguished bathroom toiletries. Only one lounge, open to public, and dining-room a passageway to the carpark. Lift old and not very clean.
Great hotel in most respects and excellent food
Rickety old lift not particularly disabled friendly!
Very convenient for the festival Free parking in the town centre Good breakfasts but too few staff on the Sunday
Very dark and sombre rooms The windows of no.7 are filthy as were the windows on the top floor on a previous visit. Despite the fan the room was too hot and in no. 7 you cannot leave the window open because of direct access from the fire escape
Excellent reception staff, welcoming and efficient. Superb location for theatre, shops and cathedral.
Breakfast was excellent but dinner was disappointing.
The winding staircase gives a sense of Eliza about to float down in Edwardian gown; one forgets the corners in the (Executive) room one has just stabbed another toe on. It is in some ways terrible but at the same time a little wonderful. Why? Haven't yet figured that bit out yet!
Friendly and helpful staff. Good food and clean room
Room didn't have air conditioning and although there was a fan it was still too hot. Had to keep the fan on all night so did not sleep very well.
Size of rooms, location was not so central, overpriced.
The hotel was very central to the shopping area of the city and the staff were extremely courteous and friendly. The restaurant was very stylish and the food excellent.
We were in Room 2 which was very small for an eight night stay and lacked storage space. We also had a very noisy extractor fan in the bathroom which wasn`t sorted until the penultimate day of our visit. We also found our room was not serviced until late afternoon which was often difficult if we went back to the bedroom for a rest after lunch.
Location & excellent bed. Very friendly staff. Loads of draw & hanging space
Shower controls and lack of pressure.
the rooms, breakfast, location, staff
no a/c in room so was a little hot (it was a heatwave in england at the time...)
Serve staff were excellent. Food was good and kitchen was responsive to substitutions. Able to walk to most parts of the town.
Afternoon sun made the room very warm. There were some noisy bar guests outside on the street, but overall the hotel was quiet.
Tasteful decor Helpfulness of staff
Bar atmosphere Perfect location for theatre
Breakfast service girls lovely but overwhelmed trying to deal with all the tables
Excellent rooms, recommend superior, warm welcoming staff and very good facilities.
Breakfast was only fair as far as the cooked selection was concerned and felt less good value for money than equivalent level hotels.
The bed was very comfortable and the staff were excellent. The location is first class and the food is just right. Free parking, right in the centre of Chichester. would I stay again? Yes, but I would go for a beer somewhere else.
Bar prices are mind blowingly expensive, £12.30 for a pint and a G&T? Not good value but maybe that's London prices. I don't know, I'm from Melton Mowbray! (Wetherspoons round the corner, £4.20 same drinks,) The Hotel has no air con so is very hot in the summer. They provided a fan but you just waft warm air around the room.
Excellent service and in a fantastic position for chichester and surrounding area. A lovely room and good breakfast. The ommelette was amazing.
Beautiful Edwardian hotel based in centre of Chichester. Ideal. great staff.
Location and friendliness
Was hot and no air con, but we are in middle of heat wave :)
