Bit shabby in parts but not a problem. No car park but cheap parking nearby. Maybe some fruit for breakfast?
Great location, lovely food and super friendly staff. Very dog friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Quirky nice room.

Nothing, it was all very good. Very impressed!
The breakfast included was really good and we liked the fact you could hire bikes at no extra cost. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help.

Room 2 is quite small and needed curtains as the morning sun woke us very early. Room also smelt of smoke but this could be from the outside tables below the room.
Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, nice breakfast, powerful shower, and quirky decor.

Traffic noise bad.Bed not confortable.Breakfast not served until 8.00am and very average. Stair coverings to bedrooms in bad condition - I could go on
Willing staff - but all a bit amateur

The larger double bedroom was tiny. The shower room was just a fraction bigger than a telephone kiosk.Dinner was very slow to arrive (over 30 minutes). Breakfast was also slow and the waitress was really noisy, first thing in the morning whilst being professionally cheerful she managed to be mildly aggressive. Breakfast ingredients were poorly judged and chorizo is pronounced koritho in Spain. They needed to pick a slightly milder version to accompany scrambled eggs. Not much thought there in palate selection.Over priced all round. Our walking group will not be using this hostelry
Location is fantastic. Evening meal was of a high standard

We had a small double which is perfectly big enough, but if you on the larger side you would probably struugle with the size of the shower room.No lift so older people on the top floor may struggle.
great pub in excellent location, friendly and helpful staff.

Not really a bad experience but the chocolate mousse was completely over the top. Small niggle in an otherwise really enjoyable stay.
Particularly friendly and helpful staff with a sense of humour. Loved the character of the place and the atmosphere.

What's not to like !
Stayed her for one night mid- week, everything great from the time we walked in until we left. Really friendly and helpful staff, small but comfortable rooms with super bed linen and towels, great breakfast.

The bathroom was a bit cluttered with nowhere to properly hang out my towel. Some of the furniture looked a bit shabby - the angle poise lamp next to my bed wouldn't stay in position. It's probably par for the course in such a popular tourist area but I thought £100 a night for this room was a bit too much.
I stayed in a top-floor room with en-suite bathroom including a bath. The room, like the hotel as a whole, had loads of character with wooden floors, exposed beams etc. It's in a great location, just on the edge of the stunningly beautiful old town and a fabulous breakfast was provided. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Wifi couldn't connect and signal was poor • They advertise free bikes but they didn't have any. They said they were being serviced but were 'old road bikes anyway' • Great breakfast food apart from horrible powder juice and below average coffee • Tiny bathroom with a folding door which wouldn't close properly
• Great location, right next to the cobblestone streets. • Really comfy bed • Friendly staff • Warm room

booked this room last minute as we were travelling by train pretty early the next morning so got a great deal on the price. the staff were very helpful, took us right up the stairs to our room. the room had a lovely, cosy boutique feel, absolutely spotless, toiletries in the shower were great, bed was made up nicely. at breakfast we could help ourselves to any cereal, yoghurts, fruit juice, and also got to choose anything we wanted from the hot breakfast menu. we both went for the sausage and egg muffin, which was spectacular. great location, lovely views, wouldn't change a thing.

If you decide to eat in the restaurant, you won't be disappointed, the steak was delicious! The staff are very helpful and friendly, even finding us a good table when we hadn't booked. Breakfast was banging! great portion sizes, amazing homemade continental breakfast. The room was small but comfortable with a super powerful shower :)

Excellent food, cocktails, coffee and staff. The DVD player in the room was a welcome surprise for a family with a small child.

only problem was the kitchen fan and a bathroom fan directly adjacent or below my room. The kitchen fan went of at 10pm which was a HUGE relief but the bathroom fan went on all night and kept me wide awake for the majority of the night.
My room was very comfortable

Wonderful pub with a great atmosphere. Really excellent staff who are very friendly. Great breakfast and the dinner looked good too, although didn't eat there. Great location in a beautiful town. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

bar very busy on Saturday night, though it is a popular pub so I guess this should be expected.

great location great staff great breakfast

The free wifi in room 3 was intermittent/hard to connect with. No problems with the wifi in the pub though.
The bed, decor of the room, the Manager (Theo's) enthusiasm and clear dedication to customer service, the cocktails and scrabble in the pub! Also, the included breakfast was a menu and buffet and was great. Very good value all up, in a lovely town. Highly recommended.
