You really feel like you are on a ship. Everything was comfortable the free bike was great because we used it to ride to the beach and the staff and all were helpful with every request. the wooms were small but cozy and the complementary breakfast was phenomenal

the bed creaked, our shower drain was clogged at first but within an hour a plumber came and fixed it.

Good location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Room on the small side & bathroom sink too small. Not as good value as other Rye hotels for the same price.

Quirky style and individual rooms. Fantastic breakfast choice and great location. We would stay again and recommend to others.

Noise from bin men first morning and the problem parking but the Ship Inn are not to blame for these things.

It was great to be able to borrow bikes for the day. The rooms were very clean and small details in the room seem to be very well thought out.

Unfortunately the room was a little noisy due to some sort of extractor fan downstairs. The room was also very warm so the windows had to stay open during our stay.

Fantastic building, outstanding rooms with just a hint of quirkiness that prevents it being 'ye-olde' theme park. The staff are delightful, the food is gorgeous I would tell anyone this is the place to stay if you are in the area.

    I wasn't there long enough!

Great cocktails, and great breakfast. The bathroom fixtures did remind me of a ship, too :-)

Hot and stuffy at night as you can't open the windows because of the doves, maybe they should install A/C.

Decor, all the little touches, fab breakfast, convenient location, friendly staff

The noise from outside, especially the early morning dustbin men.

    Food, beer, staff, bikes, breakfast

The sea gulls squabbling outside all night. And maybe curtains on the windows wouldn't hurt, as by 5am it was bright in the room.

We loved our stay. The place is wonderfully decorated and is really welcoming and comfortable. Didn't feel like we were staying in a pub at all. Food was amazing!! Will definitely be coming back! Quirky surroundings but fun and relaxing

Staff weren't very talkative and didn't quite fit with the accommodation. They weren't rude or anything just didn't quite feel welcoming

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was excellent with huge portions. The shower was powerful and the rooms bright and airy. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go again.

The bed was very creaky and we could hear everything in the next room leading to a poor night's sleep on the first night. This was resolved for the second night when we changed rooms and all was fine.

Excellent location and breakfast. Very friendly staff. Lovely Burts Bees toiletries available.

Room No 9 - Bed was very creaky, and not very comfortable as a result - every movement noisy! Duvet was heavy - a lighter one with a blanket option would have been better as the weather was warm.

The simplicity of the room and the double aspect windows. The complimentary bathroom products and the large soft fluffy towels. The breakfasts are quirky and huge!

The creaky bed and outside traffic noise but... wax earplugs from boots overcame this. The lager in the pub ran out sadly so we went elsewhere for a drink.
