Extremely friendly and helpful staff. An excellent breakfast in the morning also. The room for what we paid was very good value for money.
The food was delicious, both the included breakfast and dinner in the evening. The staff were welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious and quirky, and had everything we needed. Would definitely go again, and recommend to others
Sofas weren't very comfortable, but there were plenty of other seats.
The communal carpet in the hallways. It needs to be changed as it let down the whole look of the hotel.
Friendly & helpful staff, good food, comfortable room, nice atmosphere
Pricey food & drinks
Theo and his team were fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and homely. The breakfast was amazing!!
A wonderful place to stay. Staff can't do enough for you, very friendly and polite. Room was immaculate, very clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast!
There was nothing I didn't like.
customer service of the Staff and food served was just fantastic.
We booked a bit of an adhoc night away at the Ship. I'm a designer so I have a good eye for detail and I'm so glad I booked here! Staff were welcoming and friendly, room was spotless and nicely designed (boutique!) with fluffy towels and a personalised stick of rock. Shower was lovely and hot with Burt's Bees toiletries (<3!). There is also a hairdryer! (except I forgot my hairbrush!) Room 4 was quiet and was on the street. We found some free parking nearby (shh!) Lots of choice at breakfast, their homemade muesli was amazeballs and I blimmin' forgot to buy some when we left! Freshly squeezed juices and eggs royale and cutesy mini milk bottles! Would rush back in a heartbeat!
I didn't like that we caved in and explored around town for dinner when we should have just stayed at The Ship!! Ate at Simply Italian instead and I didn't like it! Boo! One teeny tiny niggle was that someone forgot to replenish the tea supplies in the room- only 2 uht milk cartons and no normal tea (drank Earl Grey out of desperation). I'm sure if I could have been that bothered to ask they would have happily given us a few extras though!
How spacious the room was
the sound of crashing bottles being emptied from the next door premises
We were very happy with our experience the room was clean, friendly staff and yummy breakfast (and I'm a bit difficult but it was not a problem :) )
We would defiantly stay again but we would ask for a different room only because we had the kitchen extractor fan outside out window which was very loud. (Room 6)
Comfortable, cheerful rooms, good attention to detail, rooms clean and well made up each day. Attentive staff. Great breakfast menu included for the price of the room. Excellent place if you are looking for casual lodgings in rye.
Excellent breakfast Friendly staff Bikes to borrow free
Street cleaning machine very noisy early in the morning, obviously not the fault of the pub.
You really feel like you are on a ship. Everything was comfortable the free bike was great because we used it to ride to the beach and the staff and all were helpful with every request. the wooms were small but cozy and the complementary breakfast was phenomenal
the bed creaked, our shower drain was clogged at first but within an hour a plumber came and fixed it.
Central location. Friendly staff excellent breakfast
We got there early but couldn't check In we had our dog with us which is a King Charles which we paid extra for but they did not provide anything extra it's a good job we took our own dishes and it was so hot we couldn't sleep and it smelt of dogs that's why we checked out early because I couldn't eat breakfast there then the staff ran me and was going to charge me for a know show even though we checked in and stayed there. I was a lot of money £105.00 for the night it was not worth anywhere near that amount
Loved the quirkiness of the Ship Inn. Staff very friendly and relaxed and the breakfast was wonderful. Would love to stay longer next time.
Good location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Room on the small side & bathroom sink too small. Not as good value as other Rye hotels for the same price.
Very nice room even if it was a bit on the small side
The bed squeaked every time we moved so didn't have the best nights sleep!!
Lovely friendly helpful staff, shabby chic decor, good food and beers, location, nice room, good bed
noisy council bottle collections at 6am next door
Very friendly welcome. Smart decor in our room. Quite quirky in a nice way! Will definately visit again.
Quirky style and individual rooms. Fantastic breakfast choice and great location. We would stay again and recommend to others.
Noise from bin men first morning and the problem parking but the Ship Inn are not to blame for these things.
It was great to be able to borrow bikes for the day. The rooms were very clean and small details in the room seem to be very well thought out.
Unfortunately the room was a little noisy due to some sort of extractor fan downstairs. The room was also very warm so the windows had to stay open during our stay.
Fantastic building, outstanding rooms with just a hint of quirkiness that prevents it being 'ye-olde' theme park. The staff are delightful, the food is gorgeous I would tell anyone this is the place to stay if you are in the area.
I wasn't there long enough!
Excellent breakfast, great homemade muesli.
Room was hot, even with the fan on.
Loved the design concept, original and stylish. Loved the relaxed atmosphere which did not compromise efficiency. Loved the food.
