The Ship Hotel  

The fact that my room overlooked Parkgate. The modern bathroom and comfortable bed. The peace and quiet.

I kept banging my ankle on a pipe that jutted out near the window / end of the bed - it was difficult to avoid due to the size / shape of the room. The toilet didn't flush properly.

Friendly atmosphere, good food.

Location, staff courtesy and attention. Food was excellent, well prepared, reasonable cost and served promptly. Although an old building, attempts had been made to provide modern facilities and services that you would normally expect from a much larger hotel.

Hotel car park was used by the general public without any controls or restraints and at busy times spaces were limited. Bar was extremely busy at times and a 'residents' eating area (already available) would have offered more relaxing and quieter venue for evening dinners. Noisy radiator in the room when CH was on.

Pleasant atmosphere. Interesting area.

Front bedroom with great view - perhaps we were lucky as some obviouslynoverlook the Car Park

This is an old builfing and is looking tired. Does not need much doing, but it needs some attention.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, great pub with nice views of the river dee and wales.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was superb.

Room very hot. Took 10 mins to find staff to book us in. Phone not answered when we tried to make a booking and had to book through an agency.

We have stayed here several times over the last few years it is a very nice place to stay for a relaxing few days. Bear in mind it is a pub with a nice atmosphere good food and clean bedrooms rooms. Really good chinese down the road mr Chows well worth a visit.

Absence of a clock/radio in the room which would be nice. A decent shelf in the bathroom would be nice too.
