Great food even for difficult diets. Good central location. Very helpful with local amenities and places of interest.
car parking in hotel limited to 5 or 6 cars only, but parking available on the street. also very steep up to front door
Everything about this hotel we liked We were made most welcome and our room was superb. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast was first rate. A small fridge outside our room had jugs of fresh milk and a water cooler provided us with chilled water.
We had a small double room,it was very comfortable, with everything you would expect. The breakfast was excellent.
Lovely, friendly hosts who couldn't do enough to accommodate. Superb breakfasts.
Curtains in room and en-suite closed down the room and reduced useable space. Blinds at the windows (upward pulling on the main room to accommodate the curved shape)would have been preferable. Older visitors need to be warned in advance about steep climbs and awkward parking.
felt very welcome, good breakfast, characterful house
our bedroom was on the top floor and not as well appointed as the ones on the first floor
The room was very comfortable warm and quiet.
Maybe the bar closed a little early for us as we went out for a meal first. would have liked to have had a drink back at the hotel with the other guests afterwards. Rather give our money to the hotel.
Staff friendliness Comfortable bed Good views over the bay Great breakfast
Parking a bit tight
staff the welcome and the breakfast nice and clean nice break after going to visit family before heading home and back to work.
steep hill up to the hotel.....but good to walk of nice breakfast!! no a easy drive to park car and if you parked on the road yet another hill to climb.
The four of us had a wonderful stay. Lovely people and lovely clean very good I wud stay. There again. Xx
All good x
clean room water in room for drinking breakfast choices
tight car entrance parking on a slope steep steps up to main entrance
We very much enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Shirley. Debbie and Garry were both delightful. The accommodation was excellent, with little extras like a fresh bottle of water each, every day in our room. Breakfast was lovely too and plenty to choose from. We look forward to staying again soon. Maria & Ken Bales
Excellent servcie from the staff, nicle room, excellent breakfast good location. Would definitely stay here again and very good value for money.
No air conditioning so needed the window open but it was a quiet street. The stupid duvets that nearly all hotels have are too hot in summer unless there is air conditioing
Excellent hosts, excellent staff , excellent food, great little hide-away close to front harbour, quiet location
Parking?, not too good if residents used it properly , little tight getting in & out , other than that !, no problems!!, thx
Good location- close to town but on quiet street Clean Lovely bedsheets Very good local breakfast
Dated Decor Very steep slope to access property
The owners were really friendly....gave us a very warm welcome...The hotel is very well maintained and is very magnificent... The breakfast was great...highly recommended.
The breakfast were to die for. Garry and Debbie and the staff were brilliant couldn't do enough for you. Thanks. Eileen Keith &Stephen Turner .
Twelve bed family run hotel that has kept the old features and not gone down the glass and aluminium route.situated a short walk up a hill aprox five hundred yards from seafront just far enough from the front to give you a quiet stay.good restaurants on the hill serving a wide range of tastes especially the Turkish/Greek restaurant that fed the wife and I for a reasonable price.
Small parking area but parking on road outside is free at weekends
Every body was very helpful. Very nice and pleasant atmosphere. Very good Breakfast.
Parking was limited
The breakfast was amazing and anything the staff could do to help, they did! Very friendly and excellent location, the pool was very warm. Rooms were fairly neutral, very clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend!
Excellent breakfast, friendly helpful staff, location only a few minutes walk from the town. Comfortable lounge bar. Cleanliness of the room was superb with nice little touches to add to the comfort.
Limited parking on site but no problems parking on the street
