Very friendly staff, clean and a good breakfast choice - nice food.

For us the road was too noisy.

Very Friendly, very clean and Lovely rooms. Staff were very accommodating as we had a dog with us ( there was no extra charge and he could come down to dinner & Breakfast with us). Meals were delicious and very large portions, yet reasonably priced.

There was some road noise as pub directly on busy road, but we couldn't hear too much in our room at the back. Mother-in-law had a room in the front so was affected more, but comfy beds made for easy sleeping. Could hear the pub noise below, but I suppose this was to be expected.

The room and en-suite was very comfortable and warm. It was well appointed and very clean. The staff were extremely welcoming and we ate evening meals both nights - very good value for money!

The noise of the road but we were warned about this and we did not really hear it in our room as it was at the back.

Great feel about the place. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food above average pub food and reasonably priced. A lovely country pub atmosphere i would go back again in a heartbeat.

Traffic noise but then again I am not in the Hilton.

Food was good, good price

Room was quite small though en-suite had been refurbished and was good; hot water came through very quickly and the shower was powerful!

Really Friendly Staff, Great Food with good size portions , Rooms and shower clean, Plenty of Tea & Coffee, Free internet, Good old fashion English fry up for breakfast.

Where do I start! From the moment that Kerry welcomed me to her pub and introduced me to Kevin in the kitchen I felt at home. After working in my clean qnd spqcious room I went down to the bar and was introduced to the bar staff and the locals. I ate amazing home cooked food, drank well kept beer and even black balled one of the regulars at the Pool table - sorry Paul! To be honest it was the best B&B that I have ever stayed in and although you can hear the road noise outside it didn't bother me - just take ear plugs if you are fussy that way.

Lovely Inn with roaring open fire, friendly staff and great food. Although breakfast not normally served until 8am (which i was unaware of when booking), the staff did comprise on my desired breakfast time of 7-7:15am and made it available for me at 7:30 so, although rushed, I did at least get some breakfast which was appreciated

Busy road and having a room at the front meant very little sleep with traffic noise throughout the night

staff were very friendly and welcoming room was very nice food was gorgeous

just that it is on main road but that wouldn't put us off revisiting because of the good service and excelent food

Yes there is some traffic noise but I did not find this intrusive and there is very little at night. It certainly wouldn't put me off staying here.

It was very clean, comfortable and warm. And my dog liked it too!

The warm pub atmosphere around the bar and open fire. Very good and warm service form the Landlady and her staff.

The dining room was far too brightly illuminated and lacked an element of cosiness. We were disappointed to be seated directly in front of a busy disabled toilet, especially when there were still a few tables freely available. The menu was very limited in its variety or choice.

Rooms were very clean and very welcoming, with all the little comforts needed

Although we were warned before we booked about the location being on a roadside, we did think the traffic would ease during the night but it did keep us awake so would not stay again but would go back for food and drinks!

Nice room well presented with a nice array of coffee/tea/biscuits. Shower bathroom.well stocked with tolietries. Staff smiling an friendly can not fault them.

Find it hard to moan about if there is a winge then sadly is close to a busy road an heavy trucks may wake you if your in the front of the hotel.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was freshly cooked and made to order. A pleasant atmosphere in the pub.

The main road A36 is very busy with lorries rocking the foundations at times.

Noise from traffic

Adjacent to a very noisy busy road with all night traffic noise. TV reception very poor.

My wife and myself stayed for 1 night only following a holiday on the Isle of Wight in September 2012, Kerry & Kevin made us very welcome, our room although small was very clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom, we enjoyed a very good evening meal and breakfast. There are 4 bedrooms, the 2 rooms at the back avoid some of the traffic noise from the very busy road,ours was one of these rooms, the front 2 rooms will obviously hear the traffic but these rooms are slightly cheaper than those at the back. A very good value for money stay.
