Leek is a lovely market town that has retained many original features. You can see money is being invested in the area and it is a good place to travel out from to see the sights. There are many places of interest, walks and waterfalls and of course the peak district itself. So many pubs to choose from all stocking locally brewed ales

This is quite a lively but friendly town with everything you need when you are away from home. Good Esso garage and shop with easy access. The roads are busy but manageable even in torrential rain. I stayed just outside of Leek but a lovely area of the countryside.

Leek is a market town full of character. Interesting architecture and lots of small independent shops to explore.
We explored Leek on foot and found a park to relax in. There are some good restaurants and we can recommend Napoli restaurant with a good range of pizza and pasta dishes.

There was so much more to do than we anticipated with the lake to explore and lots of playgrounds, markets and walks. There is also the railway which is a really nice way to visit the lake and make the most of the sightseeing for little legs.

We visited Derbyshire to visit The Potteries, so didn't spend much time in Leek.
As there wasn't anything gluten free on hotel menu that took my fancy , we drove 7 minutes up the road to The Pack Horse inn, Crowdecote. Lovely meal in a cosy old pub amongst pretty scenery.
The 3 Horse Shoes is a great place for weddings. Superb gardens.
We stopped off at Buxton Spa Town on way back home. Beautiful Georgian buildings and The Pavillion on gorgeous park. Worth a visit.

The roads are not too busy and the countryside is lovely and scenic so it feels like you are on holiday even if you are working.
It looks like a ramblers or walkers paradise and there are several campsites. Hotel prices are comparable and there is a great Esso garage with a spar shop which offers nectar points. I saw an Aldi store which looked busy but I didn't have time to explore.
The hotel itself was spotless, the staff accommodated my special request for banners for my husbands 40th birthday, the staff were all pleasant from the bar staff to the manager in the mornings when we were coming out of the room, there's a key code for the doors no keys to lose at alton towers, the low ceilings are paddd wich my hubby approved of being over 6ft, and there's Netflix on the TV in the room logged in as a guest account so there was something to watch at night.
Great location, fantastic facilities. We had looked at reviews previously left and any suggestions given by others had clearly been acted on - it was great to see that there is a responsive host.
We stayed here for a trip to Alton towers but were pleasantly surprised by how lovely leek itself is.
The owner left a very useful folder of Information with recommendations for places to eat and we can verify that their suggestions are good!
We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed for a family wedding nearby, peak weavers is a converted convent, lovely period building, very comfortable room, and an excellent breakfast, the second night we stayed we got up late for our breakfast as we had a late night, but our host was fantastic and still made us our breakfast, Thankyou so much. If ever visiting to visit Leek again we would definetly stay here, it’s also central location for the town centre but lovely and peaceful place to stay.
The accommodation was clean, tidy and comfortable. It was very homely, well stocked and there were some much appreciated welcome treats on arrival too. A great touch!
Pam was very helpful and attentive with directions and instructions. There is a private car parking space behind secure gates.
Great location for exploring Leek and surrounding areas.
This was a very pleasant suprise the drive upto it is a bit strange you wouldn't think it was there but its a little oasis. Very friendly with a great pub serving a great choice of ales. which is not expensive. friendly locals and 2 minute walk to the town where we walked in for breakfast. The room was slightly small but very clean and comfortable.
Brilliant location in Leek for trips in peak district and Leek town centre itself. Only tiny issue we had was parking and had to park up the road and street parking. Wasn't that bad tho but maybe worth mentioning, I don't know. Host were great and instructions were clear for when we arrived. Would stay again no problem
Very modern with underground heating and excellent kitchen facilities with everything you would need. Great views across the Pennines and over to Leek. A great walk down the valley with beautiful countryside all around and yet very close to Leek and Stoke on Trent.
The room was spacious, comfy & had everything needed, plenty of free parking outside the rooms. It's located in central Leek but the room is quiet (no traffic noise). The breakfast was delicious with good choice, and the hosts are lovely.
We liked the location and size of the property. The contact was available when we called and dealt with an issue speedily. The apartment was well laid out and had all the usual extras that you would want from a hotel
Location was excellent - central to Leek as expected and stated. It was a quirky residence, where we felt at home easily. Lots of things for young children to do. Generally it was what we expected.
The friendliness of the staff/owner. The bar/ reception area is a great place to sit and have a drink. Great location in Leek. Nicely upgraded. The back yard garden was a good place to sit in the sun.
This was the second time we've stayed here and were very impressed again. The room was spotless, staff were friendly and the breakfast was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Leek.
Gorgeous location and lovely hotel. Have maintained the original facade and updated internally to a high specification. Comfortable beds and excellent breakfast.
Friendly, helpful staff. Perfect location close to town centre and people we were visiting. Has it's own parking. Would stay again if we were in the area.
