Clean'Comfortable.Good breakfast andREAL ALE in the bar.
Staff were friendly and approachable and the room was lovely and welcoming and would highly recommend this hotel
Very comfortable and lovely, helpful staff.
A great nights sleep in a comfy bed, in a nice room, in an attractive period building with exposed beams. That should be enough (!) but add a clean bathroom, plenty of hot water in the shower and a truly excellent breakfast. And top it off with very considerate service from the first email, through the carefully explained and easy to follow late arrival arrangements, to the delightful young waitress who served breakfast so pleasantly.
Bed very comfy Bathroom modern and everything worked well Friendly Staff Good quality breakfast
Location was a bit in the sticks and driving a large van so had the odd issue. However this was my fault for not checking the access before booking and would not affect most other people.
All round lovely little place with excellent staff and facilities. It was just a place to lay my head for a night. It was out of the busy towns and the full English breakfast was wonderful!
Friendly staff and great value for money. Picturesque village with thatched houses in the Devon countryside
Warm welcome, very comfortable bed, rooms (bedroom, bathroom and dressing room) all very clean. Price included a full English breakfast, with fruit juice and cereal on offer also. We had a very nice evening meal at the Silverton Inn. The Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Very good value for money. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
My partner and I stayed for a long weekend while I recuoperated from a long illness. Lovely hotel, lovely food, lovely room. The staff a little careless with customers needs. Our stay was still lovely but could have been even better if the staff looked after the guests a little better. However I would defo go back
Family run inn - so everyone helpful and cheerful. Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast if like me you wanted full English although I could hear that they were very accommodating for others.
The room was a bit cold although this was an awkward time of the year - autumn
good food friendly staff clean rooms value for money
breakfast included, Nice clean rooms, hot showers (though shared).
Couldn't get TV to change channels, could hear everything going on in the corridor. Pub not open till 6.
nice room with good shower and comefy rest
bit more selection on menu
Good helpful and pleasant staff; good well appointed room and excellent food both evening meal and breakfast
Need to park on street
Good stopping off place for Cornwall journey
Pillows were too hard and my wife and myself could not sleep
We liked the room'it was clean and cozy. We also enjoyed the bar and the meal.
The shower room was new but the shower temperature was either scalding or freezing cold.
We arrived late so didn"t really have time tp relax and enjoy the night. We arrived at cut off time for food but there was no hesitation by the staff to make us a lovely stake meal which was also great value.
The room was small but comfortable there was noise from the bar or another guest room which kept us awake well past midnight we also had to park 150/200 yards from the guest house.
Room comfort and cleanliness. Inn location and town. Good meals.Nice bar/pub atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Poor bar service by young male barman. Shared bathroom.
We were very happy with our stay at The Silverton, the staff our friendly & helpful the food was lovely & the accommodation was very clean & tidy we look forward to visiting again next year, many thanks to all at The Silverton Hotel.
A very clean and beautifully fitted room. The hosts were very friendly. The restaurant/pub on the ground floor very cosy with great service and food (breakfast and dinner). The setting of the little village close to Exeter was great.
The bedroom was really nice and very spacious. It felt very comfortable and had a dressing room as well as ensuite bathroom.
We ate in the pub for dinner. It's was really cheap, but you got what you paid for. More like Wetherspoons than top pub grub.
Friendly staff made you feel most welcome. The room was spotless and excellent value for money with en suite facilities and even a dressing room. The meals in the bar are reasonably priced and variety was good with special offers on most evenings. It's quiet but also used by locals who were also welcoming. A gem of a place. We will definitely stay again.
Quirky lay-out, good facilities, friendly staff.
Some of the decor! Also, unless you're into a fry for breakfast, breakfast is very limited / poor. For example, no fruit! More effort needed for those of us who think about our health!
The manager contacted me well in advance to check I was OK with the fact that a music festival was being held at the venue and put me in a rear-facing, quiet room as a result. The décor was very tasteful and the facilities were excellent. The breakfast was very well cooked.
There wasn't a great range of cereal or juice.
Lovely large room [ask for Room 6!] with innovative route to the shower-room
The bathroom fan was a bit noisy and disturbed our friends in Rm 5. We forgot to mention this to the landlord, but no doubt it can easily be remedied.
