Attractive pub, very nice rooms. Good breakfast with a good choice. Secure parking. Helpful staff. Interesting decor. Nice touches eg lots of papers to read over breakfast, fresh milk in the fridge in our room and dressing gowns.

Annoying sink taps. Some street noise.

The dust on the window ledge in the bathroom. The tap on the bathroom sink which was too short and clogged with lime scale causing the water to spill over the back of the sink

Room rather small

We liked the food apart from the toast that was not toasted! The rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable. The positon of the hotel was very good and it provides parking, a real bonus in a city hotel. Evening f & b staff were efficient and very pleasant.

Room maintenance could be better monitored (the extractor in the bathroom didn't work and the mirror was in a precarious position). We also found a discarded bra behind the curtains and feel room service should have discovered this prior to our arrival!! We were disappointed with some of the staff, their attitude towards clients and their concerns was sometimes far too flippant and they seemed very disorganised at breakfast time.

Superior twin room had 2 very comfortable double beds and every facility you could wish for.In addition everything was spotlessly clean.

Room overlooked a busy road. There was also noise late at night when people were leaving a pub up the road.Although staff appeared efficient, we waited 45 minutes for our breakfast to appear!

The room was beautifully decorated and the fresh milk supplied for in room tea/coffee was a nice touch. The stand out feature for us was the food, we had an evening meal there on one night and two 'silverton breakfasts', all of which was superb.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Bedroom and bathroom clean and comfortable. Breakfast and food in the bar was good value for money.

The whole ambience of the place. Spotlessly clean, everything works, free car parking. Super poached eggs!

No porridge on the breakfast menu.

We loved the room, spacious, very clean, the extra touches, milk and orange in the fridge was a nice surprise. Would definitely stay at the Silverton again. Breakfast was lovely.

There was a smell from the bathroom. There was no yogurt at breakfast There is noise from the street, late at night, although it did not bother us, it may bother a light sleeper.

Staff were very welcoming, rooms were .large, airy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very upmarket which we both enjoyed.

Our room was directly over the main road leading into/out of Shrewsbury and the first flow of traffic woke us at 0435hrs with the volume of noise building up as the morning went on. I believe you can request a rear facing room at the time of booking if available but this offer wasn't explained until we checked out .

Great location, just a short walk into town. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was as good as I've had in a hotel.

The only very minor point was the "waterfall" design of the taps in the sinks - they would not be my choice, given their performance under low flows.

One problem, traffic noise was a real issue particularly very early morning which disturbed our sleep on each of the 2 mornings we stayed, it could easily be rectified by investing in additional window glazing to shut out most of the noise problem, as much as we enjoyed the hotel we wouldn't re book unless we were aware of the noise issue being resolved, otherwise a very lovely hotel

Friendly helpful staff; quiet room with comfortable beds; good food all freshly prepared; excellent coffee and breakfast. This was a bistro/restaurant/small hotel with a continental flavor, obviously well liked by regular clientele and very lively atmosphere. Car parking good.

No mobile phone signal for Vodafone; WiFi good after re-booting router; our twin bedded room a bit on the small side but it had all we needed.

Being within walking distance from the town centre was great. The Silverton offers free car parking and a wonderful cooked breakfast. Our twin room was small but functional. Tea and coffee available in the room along with a small fridge with complimentary water and juice. Free wifi was a bonus. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

Having a view of the back car park was uninteresting but did prove to be a quiet spot. Our room was above the dining room and one staff member had thumper of footsteps that echoed up to our room. The walls are quite thin as I could hear our neighbours putting their coats on the hangers in their wardrobe!

Excellent very clean room, with lovely modern touch. The food was first class . We will definitely go back and very soon! The staff were very welcoming but gave us space to relax . Great hotel dll round.

I really could not say as i had the flu the time i stayed and did not really go out of the room untill departure.

Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was clean and the free water and orange juice as well as a real pint of milk were a great touch. The food was excellent as was the ambience in the bar. Cannot recommend a trip here highly enough.
