Close to main shopping are and restaurants in the evening
All good nothing to complain about
Very friendly staff. Such a pleasure and so helpful!
Room was facing the main road and it was a bit noisy.
The staff are extremely professional, attentive with excellent customer service skills.the hotel is warm, comfortable and very clean
The only adverse comment I would make is the breakfast could be warmer.the plates need to be hot
Large comfortable room with excellent shower. Lovely staff who go the extra mile to help out.
Maybe it's because it was January and the hotel is not very busy but little things were annoying. There was confusion over my room booking ( not sure who was at fault -booking.com or the hotel). Staff were delightful and managed to sort it out but the room I was allocated was absolutely freezing and not the room I had wanted. We eventually got the heating to work but it took quite a while for the room to heat up enough to stay in. 2 items not available on a bar snack menu of 7 items, no croissants or pastries available at breakfast despite the fact that I was there 40 minutes before breakfast finished, very cold breakfast room. No heating on in the room despite being one of the coldest days of the year. Just small things but if I had been paying the full rate I would have been very irritated particularly by the poor selection at breakfast.
Ideal place, Central position, young staff, Very helpful and chatty. Quiet rooms top floor at the back.
Difficult to open room door with the key... Not a deal breaker.
Staff very helpful
Shower base slippery, needed a mat of some sort
Perfect package! Room size Bathroom Bar food Staff Breakfast Wifi Free parking Location
Facing main road. Traffic noise a problem.
Good welcome on arrival, shown to room to member of staff. Lovely evening meal and full English breakfast. Clean and comfortable room. Even though the room faced the road and could have been noisy - it wasn't and we had an excellent nights sleep.
The room was very comfortable and warm. Staff were polite and helpful.
Disappointed with the breakfast buffet. Very little selection, should have been an offer of pastries and croissants, but only one type of pastry available. English breakfast was good, however I would not pay over the special offer rate we received for this hotel. I believe it was worth the reduced cost.
the staff were very friendly and welcoming and location was great for walking into the town. Our room was very spacious and had all facilities needed.
our superior room was by the road so it was a bit noisy at times but earplugs were supplied if you chose to use them.
Situation, cleanliness, helpful staff, quality of food.
Road noise, but I expect this is fairly common in a city hotel and ear plugs were provided. We ate dinner there and as residents were entitled to 15% off the food bill. The staff forgot to do this but did it willingly when reminded.
Very helpful friendly staff - enjoyed the meal and breakfast. good location to visit town, easy to find and park. pleasant, well equipped room.
Ease of booking 20mins before arrival. On site parking for residents. Breakfast was fabulous! Clean!! Staff (young lad) was very helpful & friendly. Has a lift which was very handy!
Was some road noise although ear plugs were provided.
Decor - boutique style and very friendlly staff
We had a room at the front and the road was noisey which was a shame.
Our 2nd visit and we will be returning
Fantastic all round service with excellent food also served. Will certainly go back for further visit
Bit noisy as room on road but did not spoil our stay
Beautiful comfortable rooms. Free parking, Central location. A bit of road noise which didn't bother us earplugs are provided. Staff very friendly, helpful. Plenty of restaurants nearby and in the hotel.
A little disappointed with breakfast, but can't complain about value included in room price. I would have been unhappy if I had to pay extra for the breakfast.
Good location near to shops and river. Smart and comfortable. Twin de luxe was very roomy. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The meal in the restaurant was good value, tasty and a tidy portion. The live music on both nights was an added bonus.
The room at the front of the hotel was noisy although ear plugs were provided. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, quite small portions and a limited choice if you didn't want cooked. They seemed reluctant to provide much toast!
Nice sized room with good amenities. Free parking. Nice bar area. Gastro pub type food. Good price for service and comfort on offer!!
Road noise - windows dont block much but the hotel does leave earplugs by the bed so this can dealt with!!
We had a really enjoyable stay at The Silverton. The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much for them. The rooms were beautiful and exceptionally clean. Breakfast gorgeous... can't wait to return...
Cannot fault this Hotel, just 7 Bedrooms but all staff very helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean , comfortable and in excellent decorative order. We had two Breakfasts (included in tariff) and two evening meals which were both superb and good value. We would recommend this hotel
Free parking,,! Friendly staff... Very comfortable n clean beds...
Location a little bit off from from the centre of activities..
We liked the central position of the hotel. The room was extremely comfortable and the ensuite facilities were excellent. It was our first visit to Shrewsbury and we found it to be very attractive with a lovely park and shopping facilities.
Good shower Clean room although on a major slope but you can expect that with old places Comfy bed Lovely staff - owner should take a back seat or learn about customer service from her staff
Noisy room - so noisy in fact that it comes with standard issue earplugs - not a deluxe experience Rude owner (apparently changed hands recently so might not stay 9.1 for long) who told my partner she could not order room service evengthough she was spending evening in room with baby so it was a sarnie from Waitrose Selection of pastries was one type of inedible thing, cooked breakfast was poor Coffee was disgusting and weak
