Breakfast was excellent value for money. Location really central. Room clean and tidy Bed really comfortable. Staff friendly
Windows in bedroom were sash windows which when opened left gap at bottom which could be dangerous with small children or even group ups who might not be aware after being out late. Shame bar was closed when we got back at 10pm as we wanted to watch England game but plenty of pubs nearby.
Appeared to being run down to close
The bed room had good furniture. The parking was good
The information coming up on your site does not match with the actual facilities. There were christmas lights on the floor in our room and some still hanging in the "dining room".. The bar was rarely open - not even at 9pm on Saturday night. The whole place is very run down and not at all welcoming. There was a lot of traffic noise until late at night
Location was excellent for the appointment the following morning. We were able to walk and know the car was safe.
One of the bedside lights lacked a light bulb, it was too late to inform the staff by the time we realised.
A pleasent welcome by helpful manageress. The large sunny room with a view was very good. Good parking on site with an excellent breakfast.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The bar closed early - I would have liked a drink when I returned at 8:00
The bathroom was very big and nice. Rooms were clean!
We left the hotel at about 7.15pm and everything had shut up ie bar etc, this was a Saturday night, so we couldn't inform the lady of times for breakfast! Other than that not bad
Bedroom was clean, bright and airy tea and coffee facilities were welcoming but some biscuits would have been more inviting, as they go along way to helping you to relax with a cuppa!
Bar/reception area was dark and did not look very welcoming, decor could do with an uplift! breakfast was ok but surroundings need a little attention to brighten the room up a little
Nice big rooms. Very nice that the family room had a partitioned area for the child's own 'bedroom'.
The room was excellent. The staff were brilliant.
Breakfast was below average and breakfast table was very dirty. Not a very good choice of beers no bitter.
Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast
About only 50% of the lights in the room were working.
Town centre location and attentive Staff.
Rather too large desk/table in room.
Staff could not do enough for you. Perfect location
Hotel in need of a revamp. Very dated
Dirty bedding, filthy stained carpets, room felt and smelt stale and un fresh! In room coffee tea cups dirty no milk but they did change after complaint! Not enough toilet roll had to ask for more! Breakfast less than average! But girl who took orders was pleasant and helpful! Noisy room from below and the room above extremely creaking floor boards and you could hear upstairs conversation easily!
Coffee facilities in room but no milk and kettle already half full with bits floating in it. No shampoo in bathroom.
Staff were very friendly.
Nothing major. Shower took a few minutes to warm up.
a comfortable bed
no complimentary soap/shampoo etc. No instructions for wifi, no fresh coffee, poor quality products for cooked breakfast
The breakfast and morning service
Off-hand initial greeting and run-down built environment. Shower cubicle design was an unnecessary disaster: difficult to get in and quite needlessly so.
The location was very good, a bit easy to miss on the main road especially as the sign says Bullring Bar more prominently than Smithfield Hotel.
The windows in the room where blocked by safety glass which was screwed in front of the actual double glazed windows. Not only do I think this is very unsafe I personally like a window open of a night and found the temperature in the room much too hot without a window.
Rooms were filthy Television did not work Coffee/Tea tray had no coffee or milk Breakfast coffee undrinkable instant
Friendly staff All requests undertaken with a smile cost - very reasonable
Draft beer is horrid No menu at breakfast so not sure what options there may have been
Central location, helpful friendly staff
The friendly and welcoming staff. Ease of access to the Willow art gallery.
No hand soap in on suite bathroom
Price Staff were friendly
We were on the top floor, thus no wifi Dirty quilt cover Dirty tea cups
