Food Location Room Ambience Staff
Walls in rooms very thin.
Very friendly, willing to help with anything required excellent cooked breakfasts, would stay there again.
Pub had a lovely welcoming atmosphere and the staff were lovely and extremely accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.
What a gem!! Driven past so many times stayed for the first time on Monday night- had a fabulous stay!! Staff were really friendly, great atmosphere, great food and lovely room!! Great location for walks as well- staff really couldn't do enough for you! The breakfast was also amazing!! Will definitely be going back :)
Friendliness of staff; blazing log fire in the bar area; totally relaxed atmosphere; great breakfast.
Shower - very hard to get the hot & cold water balance right from two separate taps but I understand that these are in the process of being upgraded.
This was in just the right location for us visiting friends in Sheffield, but waking up in the peaks. Service was very friendly but best of all our apartment had separate rooms so the children (3 and 1) could go to bed and we could stay up without disturbing them.
Unfortunately no cot available, but we were informed at the earliest opportunity so we could take our own and it did not impact on our trip.
Snake Pass Inn is a wonderful place to stay. Situated middle way of Snake Pass. It was snowing while we stayed there but the room was so snug and warm, a real joy to be there. The staff were faultless and couldn't do enough for us to ensure we had the best time ever. Top marks all round and we will be going back after Christmas.
Could have had a more extensive menu.
The hosts. The bar. The food. The size of the room.
The lack of a shower. The cold bathroom.
Excellent staff - couldn't do enough for us!
The location is perfect for hiking and our short get away. And it's really quite and calm. Even a short stay provided a well needed nature experience and contrast to the busy city life. Staff is very service minded and helpful. The surrounding is great. It has all the potential to be the "pearl of the peaks"
Food needs improvement.
Don't go here if you expect chain hotel regimented, all the same style rooms. It's a very well run Inn and the landlord goes to great lengths to make sure you're happy. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We ate in the Inn the first night and the food and service were good. The breakfasts are excellent value for money. A very warm friendly Inn.
The only downside was the very old TV. The Landlord is slowly replacing these with new ones.
Very good location, many paths available for hiking and just 45min drive from Manchester City centre
Got some stomach problems after fish & chips I have ordered in the restaurant
Great friendly and helpful staff. Comfy and warm. Scenic walks just outside the door. Good ale and breakfast.
Run by a young, helpful and enthusiastic team, with sound food and ale available, a delightful bar/restaurant area and comfortable accommodation. Lovely scenery for walking and sightseeing and under 30 minutes to the centre of Sheffield.
we loved the setting, very warm and friendly staff, delicious food in massive portions, all the old charm with functioning modern tech... wifi, pressure shower etc., plenty parking. loved the history of the inn displayed on the walls.
Great location; excellent service and lovely food. Good selection of well kept real ales.
We loved the excellent hospitality. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel very much at home. The food was fab and there was plenty of it!! The beer was also excellent (especially the Abbeydale Moonshine!). It's a lovely home from home and we look forward to returning (especially to hunt for the crashed old aeroplanes!).
Can't think of a single thing. There was no phone signal but that was a plus point for us!
The warm atmosphere, ambience and the very friendly and helpful Staff. The breakfasts were excellent and the real fire at the side of the bar very welcome after a day on the hills. Good beer too.
Nothing worthy of mention.
The hotel location and staff were brilliant. Food and accommodation very good value for money. Will actively search for this hotel again.
The Inn retains original character with a welcoming open fire, wood features and interesting layout. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
I have been to many B&Bs in England in last 28 years , this is the best ( ok rooms etc needs bit of work but £59 a night with breakfast for 2 !!!! What more do we want ) I love the place and people , will be back again
staff were great ,friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice.
Our bedroom was very tired but clean. Our bed was very uncomfortable the mattress looked new but just on a wooden basic, there was no mattress protector and no fitted sheet in fact the sheet didn't even fit the bed.an out side light was right out side our window the curtains need to be thicker to block out the light
