Great value for money, good location. Staff very friendly and accommodating
The hotel is very tired and is in need of a refurbished but for a one night stopover it was good value
Booked the room as pay later whilst travelling to the hotel I received a text message asking me to contact the hotel as they had tried to pre authorise my card and it was declined so I called the hotel and a young lady named Mckenzie answerd and told me my card had been rejected as it was an invalid card i asked for the card number to be read back to me and asked her to try it again she was somewhat put out by this request and was huffing down the phone to me but she tried with the same result and I was told that she would not be trying it again and upon arrival I should use a different card I arrived at the hotel and used the same card to pay for the stay the room was ok apart from the lack of electric sockets near to the mirror provided and my partner was forced to use the socket near to the tv to dry her hair and straighten it without being able to see what she was doing due tot he lack of a mirror
I had a lovely sea view and the hotel is in a fairly tranquil, but central location, With a nice walk along the cliffs available. There is a theatre just up the road, so do check out what is going to be on during your stay.
The location, the friendliness of the staff, the excellent value for money, the cleanliness, the comfort of the bed
The hotel's location on the Leas has lovely views of the Channel and it is a pleasant hotel to stay in. The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful and the standard of accomodation and breakfast was excellent value. My room was very spacious.Harbour area and old High Street very attractive.
No problems with the hotel; parts the nearby town centre could be regenerated and also it was sad to see a number of apparently itinerant homeless people ,not that I am criticizing them as individuals in any way. Just wish there could be some resolution for their issues.
Large room, sea view, clean,it is an old hotel so I got what I expected.Large bathroom, got a double room for the price of a single.Warm.
Had to park in the multi stoery around the corner ,but that's not really a problem.£3.00 for 24hrs.
Quiet nights sleep
A nice hotel but a bit dated, but overall i did enjoy my stay and would stay again
I was disippointed there wasnt the turkey and tinsel break what was advertised in the travel style brochure, but not many their so i guess wasnt worth puting entertainment on and half board with so few people staying.Iwould like to of seen hand rails over the shower, to help to get out of the bath.
Location, staff friendly and helpful
Old and dated, TV stuck to the wall, with no movement, couldn't see from bed. Double glazing, wind whistling all night. Plumbing from above so noisey.
The hotel is central. It was very clean, the staff were very helpful, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good. OK, it shows its age, but for the price, who cares? I'd go back with no hesitation.
Bed was great massive and comfy great view of channel.
Room was dingy horrible furniture and corridoors need change of colour.
Location and view
No Shower Could hear everything in room next door
Breakfast stars too late.
Staff were lovely breakfast was ok but could have been better
Lift needs attention also there were about 5/6 steps up to the hotel its self which was not good as my husband and myself struggled with
Nice base as right across from cliff front, cheap and comfortable
Rooms very dated but like I said comfortable and I guess you get what you pay for!,
Sea front location - comfortable lounge area and a small bar. Very cheap and great value for money, as long as you don't expect it to be more than it is - pretty much a comfortable 'coach holiday' type hotel.
No onsite parking. Permit for street parking (£2 a day) available from hotel, if you can find a space!
It was perfect for an overnight to catch the early Channel Tunnel train to France for a long weekend in Normandy. Staff helpful, dated decor but comfortable and clean. £35 including breakfast ..perfect for what we wanted.
Balcony and seaview good for channel crossing Value for money
Noise from club underneath hotel (also there was a fight outside) and general noise from outside (poor double glazing so difficult to sleep). Also the hotel overall could do with refurbishment to modernise it a bit as it's scruffy (flimsy thin blankets on bed, small towels, small tv had limited channels, reused tea/cofee facilities, damp patches on wallpaper, poor tiling in bathroom, small bath with slow water pressure and an old shower unit). People expect better quality nowadays.
Clean, fresh towels and linen every day. Has all the facilities needed.
