I know the Hotel well and the area. The hotel is in need of an update as I have stated before on my visits. I like the hotel and I will stay there again. But some in-store TLC is needed. The entry doors need to be changed as its a bit of a struggle with a suitecase Its in a great location I love it. But TLC please. |

The staff were welcoming and helped us book in quite quickly as we arrived at the same time as a large coach party we were made a prioity over them as they were filling up the foyer .we were going to a concert atthe Leas cliff so was a ideal location and we had stay at the hotel before no other then the service was slow at breakfast due to the coach parties being very demanding and quite rude on occasions not allowing the young girls time to breath before wanting more. |

The sea View was excellent and the room was fairly clean with a flat screen TV The reception staff were extremely unhelpful. We arrived at 12 0'clock, fully aware that check in time was 2pm onwards, but this shouldn't be set in stone. Would have though that as we were there a room could have been prepared earlier, say 1 0'clock. Went back at 2pm having had some food and even then they had to double check the room was ready, woman on reception looked as if she could have cared less, and when we asked on Sunday morning if any thing was happening locally was no help whatsoever. Not exactly selling the resort.A more cheerful welcome would have been nice. |

promt service at breakfast I had my cooked breakfast on the table before I had finished my cornflakes on arrival we where alocated the wrong room not what was booked, this was sorted out on production of our booking form. The following morning room service rinsed out my coffee cup in basin and left the basin dirty, bed was not made nor room cleaned. Balcony was standing only no chairs. Complementry coffee was solid with only powered milk. |

The gentleman on reception was very helpful. The was a sea view from our top floor room. 1. The room had mould in the wardrobe. 2. There was no shower. 3. The beds were so old the mattresses had no life left in them. 4. The mattress bases were stained. 5. The bath had a crack in it. 6. There was an old pint of milk on the window cill outside the room. 7. There was a gap of about an inch or more at the base of the firedoor and they were not self closing. 8. No hairdryer. 9. Only 3 channels on the TV rather than the expected 5. 10. You caould access the water pipes in the bathroom through a hole in the wall. |

We made a reservation only the day before we stayed there, yet we got two rooms with a fantastic view on the sea. The English breakfast was very good with a friendly service. |

It was available at short notice Every part of the hotel needs a good clean. The bedrooms were filthy and in desperate need of decoration. The carpets were covered in dust, the shower curtains are mouldy and great patches of paint were peeling off the walls in the bathroom and bedroom. |

Check in was pleasant and fairly quick, service of the breakfast (we hd an early start) was efficient and there are good views (Sea view room) over the Channel The first room we were in had a bulb which needed replacing no-one could do it so we were given a different room no helpmoving just given the key and told the room number. The receptioist did not look at us as we checked out no thanks or have a nice journey etc. just a hand for the key. Just a small thing but important |
