My son and I were on vacation from the US and fond the staff to be very helpful and friendly. They went out of there way to make us feel at home and if we ever get the chance to return we would stay there.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Sandra couldn't do enough for us and small problem with wash basin was quickly solved.

Bit disappointed that the chef ran out of sausages on the third morning of our stay as I only took bacon and sausage for breakfast. Also the only soup on the menu was lentil! The soup was good but not three days in a row!

car park was littered with dog muck which was new and old stuff, you had to watch were you was parking and walking, standards all round seemed to be down a lot from our stay last year, and having shopped around the area for alternative accommodation which was same value but a lot better standard,my sister and I wont be staying here again

The staff were helpful and friendly when they were available, which was not always the case. The location for the centre of town was good. Breakfast was very good on the first morning.

There are a few items which require attention. When flushed, the cistern sounded like a distressed elephant and needs sorted. The kettle switch doesn't work unless you stand and hold it down. The bathroom window seems to be screwed shut. The breakfast was good quality on the first morning and very poor on the second. The bar/restaurant seems to be closed down, making it more of a b&b and NOT an hotel. The prices are too high for the level of service.

The essential part of booking with this hotel was the provision of having a breakfast. A full English was provided which was enough to keep me well nourished through the day. I was given a key to the hotel, which allowed me to come and go as I pleased, thus allowing me the freedom to wander about the countryside until late into the evening. The room was basic, but well worth the price, which was all I required. All in all the stay at the hotel was very enjoyable and well worth the effort at getting there.

Although not a problem to me, I found the television signal disappearing frequently during my stay I suggest perhaps an inspection of the aerial may be required.
