Situated in the village of Hordle, the Inglemere B&B is on the outskirts of the New Forest National Park. With free parking, it is just 10 minutes' drive from the market and sailing town of Lymington....

Location, friendly hosts, full breakfast served in bedroom, clean and modern.
Shower was poor, either cold or hot near on impossible to get just warm.
Not really clear on website that the location was mid-villlage "inn within walking distance" hence not as accessible as a longer stay might require
Friendliness, food and service
Easy access to woods and port

Friendly welcome, owner very informative. Enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Had dinner in the pub up the road (to the left as you leave the guest house) lovely meal. Went for a long walk the next day ended up in Red Lion where we had dinner. Very friendly place. Had a restful weekend and spent time at highcliff beach on the way home as only a short drive. Would recommend guest house, very clean and a good range of breakfast choice.
Guest house is on a busyish road, more so early morning . Double glazing very good at blocking out noise. This road has no path or street lights but guest house provides you torches to walk to the local pubs which you will need.
Our night at The Spinney started our holiday off on a relaxing note. John Ruddy was a first class landlord intent on giving the best service possible. Our room was very comfortable and our breakfast was was also very good. The Spinney was ideal for us to catch the mid-morning ferry to the Isle of Wight from Lymington.
Right from the very warm and helpful welcome we had a wonderful stay. The recommendation of the pub just down the road to eat at very good as was the insight to the immediate local area for walks etc. Lots of small touches that make all the difference such as torches for the walk back from the pub, The table in the room where the lovely breakfast is served was nice and all in all a lovely place to stay.
The only down side if you can call it that, is the very busy road outside although with the double glazing, it certainly did not disturb our sleep.
Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast.
Location due to the busy road noise. Felt a little isolated as only had the use of bedroom with no outlook. Not able to mix with other guests, which allows visitors to the area to chat and converse about surrounding attractions. Did not feel the walk to the close pub was in any way safe.
Warmly welcomed Landlord very polite and very helpful Room was very clean and it was a nice tocuh to see maps, torches, hair drier, tea and coffee making facilities, Wifi, even a kitkat!, table and chairs inside the room etc...I wish all B&Bs were like this.
Everything was perfect!
Really good B&B in the New Forest National Park. We felt very warm welcome. Rooms are very clean and lovely furnished. We got all information and little helpers to have a comfortable stay and breakfast of our choice. Despite the street is much frequented daytime, the room is quite due to good windows. Good value for the money.
frequented street, noisy if you have the windows opened
Breakfast in the bedroom was excellent
Parking a little tight
We enjoyed our stay at the Spinney. The owners were very friendly and the staff excellent. The accommodation was comfortable and very peaceful.
The room was very clean with on suite shower/toilet. Flat screen TV and WiFi great and table and chairs very useful. Free cereals and milk for breakfast or you can order cooked breakfast if you wish. The two local pubs both great but we preferred the Filly which was a very short drive away, good pub food and beer. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. All in all great value for money and good location.
+ nice place. + New Forest is beautiful. + helpfull owner. + clean. + silent room (when windows closed) even though the road is busy.
- small parkingspace when there are more then 2 guests also not easy getting on busy road.
- Friendly owner - Comfortable, spotless bedroom - Plenty of space to hang clothes - Good location between Brockenhurst and Lymington, but a car is necessary - Very quiet, even though it's along a fairly main road - Bright and airy rooms
Absolutely lovely environment. Everyone was extremely polite and it really was a massive positive to our holiday. Cannot fault it at all. looking forward to going back.
Nothing at all.
Partner and I were so warmly welcomed and made to feel comfortable. The landlord is a very nice, polite man who was very helpful. The road is busy outside, but the glazing cuts noise to almost inaudible. We were given directions to the Filly Inn, which took us over the road into a beautiful landscape. We walked through heather and a small wood, in such a glorious evening. The route is not at all tricky if you keep out the wooded area. My only wish would to have the route longer as it was such a pleasure to use. We both slept very well in a comfortable bed. The en-suite toilet and shower were very clean and handy to have. The towels, shower gel, shampoo etc, was a nice touch :) The general location of the B&B is almost perfect, with an outside that I so wanted to explore more. I found the table and chairs in our room an excellent idea. I have never had this in a B&B before, and just having a bed to sit on can be a pain. The WiFi is more than reasonable enough for planning your daily activities, this is something we missed out on in the last place we stayed at, so this one was more than an added bonus! Would like to say thank you for such a splendid visit, to such a pleasant building and location :) Darren
The Filly Inn beer was quite warm, BUT the food was very nice and the staff friendly.
A really relaxing 7 night break in a spotlessly clean B & B
Nothing negative to say
It was a bit noisy with the traffic
Lovely B&B very welcoming and made to feel at home. Right ontop of the New Forest. Would stay again!!
Only one thing it's on a main road but it's so near the entrance of the new forest so it does compensate for that.
Good location, lovely breakfasts very good all round.
Road very noisy.
Helpfulness of owner, nothing seemed to be to much trouble. Recommended some very good places to eat in evening. Lovely room and breakfast, better than a 3 star hotel I had stayed in the week before.
Lovely clean comfy room with lots of added extras. Kitkats with your tea, fresh milk in the fridge, torches to use in the evenings. Very thoughtful little things that really made the stay lovely. Pub 3 minute walk away with a great dinner menu and real log fires burning. Breakfast served exactly on time in your room is a very nice touch too.
The b&b is a little far out of lymington and the nearest shop/cash point is a 5-10 minute drive away.
