- Friendly owner - Comfortable, spotless bedroom - Plenty of space to hang clothes - Good location between Brockenhurst and Lymington, but a car is necessary - Very quiet, even though it's along a fairly main road - Bright and airy rooms
Absolutely lovely environment. Everyone was extremely polite and it really was a massive positive to our holiday. Cannot fault it at all. looking forward to going back.
Nothing at all.
Partner and I were so warmly welcomed and made to feel comfortable. The landlord is a very nice, polite man who was very helpful. The road is busy outside, but the glazing cuts noise to almost inaudible. We were given directions to the Filly Inn, which took us over the road into a beautiful landscape. We walked through heather and a small wood, in such a glorious evening. The route is not at all tricky if you keep out the wooded area. My only wish would to have the route longer as it was such a pleasure to use. We both slept very well in a comfortable bed. The en-suite toilet and shower were very clean and handy to have. The towels, shower gel, shampoo etc, was a nice touch :) The general location of the B&B is almost perfect, with an outside that I so wanted to explore more. I found the table and chairs in our room an excellent idea. I have never had this in a B&B before, and just having a bed to sit on can be a pain. The WiFi is more than reasonable enough for planning your daily activities, this is something we missed out on in the last place we stayed at, so this one was more than an added bonus! Would like to say thank you for such a splendid visit, to such a pleasant building and location :) Darren
The Filly Inn beer was quite warm, BUT the food was very nice and the staff friendly.
A really relaxing 7 night break in a spotlessly clean B & B
Nothing negative to say
It was a bit noisy with the traffic
Lovely B&B very welcoming and made to feel at home. Right ontop of the New Forest. Would stay again!!
Only one thing it's on a main road but it's so near the entrance of the new forest so it does compensate for that.
Good location, lovely breakfasts very good all round.
Road very noisy.
Helpfulness of owner, nothing seemed to be to much trouble. Recommended some very good places to eat in evening. Lovely room and breakfast, better than a 3 star hotel I had stayed in the week before.
Lovely clean comfy room with lots of added extras. Kitkats with your tea, fresh milk in the fridge, torches to use in the evenings. Very thoughtful little things that really made the stay lovely. Pub 3 minute walk away with a great dinner menu and real log fires burning. Breakfast served exactly on time in your room is a very nice touch too.
The b&b is a little far out of lymington and the nearest shop/cash point is a 5-10 minute drive away.
The little extra touches like the wipes, toiletries and torches were really appreciated. It was lovely to be served breakfast at a table in the privacy of our room. The owners couldn't have made us feel any more welcome or made our stay any more enjoyable.
Clean comfortable and very well appointed rooms
The B&B is a credit to the owners, having been met at the door by John my expectations were surpassed every day. Great rooms, breakfast was served in my room every morning exactly on time. If you need a B&B this is the one. Your efforts John were appreciated.
Very well-looked after place; John (the owner) was very friendly and helpful - and the bacon for breakfast was really good!
Rather awkward walk to local pub in the evening.
The room was spacious, warm (maybe slightly too warm), the owner had even sent me a map by email to advise an alternative route from Lymington to avoid the traffic. My bike was securely stowed in the garage overnight, breakfast was timely, with a generous portion, and set me up for the day.
There was quite a lot of traffic noise outside, and the property is rather close to a main road, the noise being exacerbated by a nearby road being shut, with diverted traffic turning immediately outside the property. I would have preffered a bath to a shower, and as far as the price is concerned, accept that staying somewhere which isn't a mainstream destination will cost a bit more.
Owner very helpful and friendly. Good breakfasts kept us going until the evening meal. Interesting walks straight from the B&B.
After a meal in The Filly pub, close by, my husband was violently ill, though fortunately recovered for the rest of the break.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and comfortable and having breakfast served promptly in the room was a great touch. There were lots of little nice touches as well such as providing torches to walk to the local pub, if returning late in the evening.
We had no complaints.
Very helpful staff with a excellent knowledge of the local area. A real pleasure staying there I can highly recommend it. Better than a lot of the big hotels I have stayed at!
Fantastic stay, John the owner was very helpful and friendly and was able to accomodate each of my requests. The room was nicely made up, comfortable bed and all that I required. Nice breakfast served at a time I requested. Thanks John!
Bit of a creaky bed but no big problem.
Great comfortable, warm and friendly place to stay in the heart of things. Local pubs/eateries are also worth a visit.
The room was spacious, clean and nicely finished. It was very close to a lovely pub (The Hobler Inn - 3 min walk) and was surrounded by walks
The entrance to the B and B isn't easy to spot and is off a busy road. Similarly, the walk to the nearby pub was along that same busy road so be careful
The friendly and helpful owner, the clean and comfortable room, the breakfast served in our room, the location and a great pub for eating in just a few minutes walk away.
The room was really comfortable. The host was very nice and accommodating.
There was no communal area and so we were served breakfast at the table in our room. However that was fine given we were only there for a short stay.
Suited us having a room only price. He offered cornflakes for free as well.
Owner was functional but lacked warmth . Kept 'reminding' us to pay- made me feel he did not trust us. We had booked via booking.com and given credit card details so was a little irritating!
pleasant owner, spotless room and bathroom. All consumables were fair trade. Excellent breakfast, nice to have it privately in the room.Well placed for New Forest, Beaulieu etc.
Entrance was a little difficult to see in the dark in rush hour traffic. Had to go past and turn round to find it.
