Nice staff that welcomed us though we were late at night, 22:40. Good English breakfast. Clean room and bathroom. Room door lock malfunctioned; trouble getting out. But the lock was fixed. |

Good location, laid-back attitude and a nice little room. The bathroom was clean and all worked well. The hallway smelt a bit funny... |

The rooms were tatty, no smoke detectors in half the hotel, big sanitation problems ie other peoples excrement appearing in your toilet...discusting! Not enough dining space for the amount of guests. Very noisy, walls like paper. The place needs closing down. |

Comfortable, easy walking distance to centre of Oxford.Room was spacious and overlooking playing fields as requested.Very quiet at night despite stag party staying for the weekend! Lots of stairs to our room! Also some traffic noise which did not affect us too much as we were on top floor but may affect people on lower floors. |

The room was like a cellar. No curtains on a window.Very poor TV reception. Grotty shower and no sound insulation above and you could hear everything.Plus kettle did not boil. |

The host welcomed us and was very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was fine except I was not sure about the tea--may be the change in water. No decaff.coffee! |

Everything was nice. I did enjoy the breakfast. The hotel itself is cosy and quite and it wasn't really expensive. I still have a question about the deposit. It wasn't quite clear whether I'd already payed or not. |

Staff were friendly and helpful with local information. Breakfast was of a high standard and I was able to get decaffinated tea on request. The location of the hotel was very convenient and although on a bus route I really enjoyed the 20-or-so minutes walk to the town centre. I found the six steps up to the entrance doors difficult to manage, even when I was without my luggage, and no help seemed available. (I am nearly seventy) and as The Sportsview is composed of three houses I had sometimes to negotiate them more than once to get to or from my room to the reception area. I would have appreciated decaffinated tea/coffee options in my room. |
