Room not ready for two guests. Hot and cold water supply very erratic. Room not properly prepared after first night's stay. Some food not adequately cooked. Poor service on first morning for breakfast.

Good selection of beers & location. Price was reasonable. Food available all afternoon which was a bonus, Lack of wifi in rooms - Full English breakfast would be better than just continental or bacon butty but I new that when stayed there. Book an upstairs room as if you are down stairs it feels like you have a stables above you.

Friendly / Characterfull Washing facilities in the room somewhat cramped. Nowhere to put soap, shampoo etc in the shower - a small corner soapdish would help enormously.

The bed was very comfortable and the room warm. The room was cramped - very little room between the bed, loo and shower. There was no hair dryer and no list of meal times. I had to cross and recross a very freezing car park before I could get breakfast on Easter Sunday.

- The walls are made of Paper. You hear everything from the other rooms. Really noisy. - The stairs, the room and bathroom in particular are very SMALL and UNCONFORTABLE. - The breakfast is HORRIBLE. They ask you when you check in to chose between Cereals or Bacon sandwich and the service is really slow and bad. - No wifi. Signal too week. - Too expensive for what they offer.

very relaxed friendly place. As a female traveling on my own, I felt comfortable at all times. Very good location for Guildford and Wisley. ...Why go anywhere else for one or two nights? Booking again in September! walls a little thin... but still got a good nights sleep

The squirrel is so easy to find and in a very convenient location. I stayed in the end single room on the ground floor of the cottages. There was a very warm welcome at the squirrel and the food was amazing! a few things went wrong whilst I stayed there, but any problems were sorted quickly and I never felt like a burden. There seem to be a few negative reviews but I couldn't disagree more, the cottages are old, things go wrong in old buildings, but the staff are always there to help. I had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend a stay at the squirrel. If you're a light sleeper maybe have a g&t before bed! The continental breakfast was more tea toast and cereal - which suited me fine, it might have been nice to get it a little quicker next time, but I wasn't in a rush. Loved it! I'd really recommend eating there too, so yummy! If you're staying that way, go visit the Watts Gallery! “I think an upstairs room would have been an advantage! I didn't manage to get a very good nights sleep - the people upstairs seemed to be taking it in turns to do laps of the room above, every step creaked through the floorboards. Although this was very annoying, it's an extremely old building, I don't really see what could be done about it - part of the character!”

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant excellent. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere throughout. Kettle etc. in room. Toiletries provided in bathroom. Very clean white sheets and towels. Ample free parking. Just off A3, very easy access. Extremely small bedroom - made £50 seem a lot of money. No wardrobe - just a hanger on the wall! No wifi in bedrooms, only in public areas. Very steep windy staircase up to bedroom.
