the spa treatments were excellent although some of the areas needed upgrading. The breakfast was excellent and the friendliness of the staff could not be beaten. there are some areas of the Spa that needed upgrading, such as the cafeteria where we had lunch. Although the general decore of the hotel was modern it was a little souless. |

The receptionist (Rhodri) was very welcoming & professional. The room was lovely, good interior design and had a great view. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Bar waitress was a little too eager to take orders when we were sitting in the bar chatting & therefore interupted our conversation. |

Swimming pool and spa area. No free hotel car parking. MInor points are that there is no minibar in the room and that food is not available in the bar after 23.00. |

just a lovely setting and very nice place to spend an overnight shopping trip with my daughter who is getting married next year. Enjoyed the pool and spa facilites. |

Lobby very stylish although a little too sparse despite large christmas tree. Bar staff extremely attentive. Bar very costly concidering you are next to food and drinks mall and bars and restaurants all around. Room very comfortable but cannot see why it is so expensive. |

Good location with excellent views of Cardiff Bay. Good breakfast It,s 10 years old now and needs a bit of a freshen up. stayed in nicer hotels in Cardiff city centre. |

The breakfast was delicious and served in a nice area of the hotel overlooking the bay. The location of the hotel is excellent with enough bars and restuarants close by if you want to stay away from central Cardiff at the weekend. |

The food and wine selection, the design of the hotel and the relaxed atmosphere. They would not serve food past 10.45 pm despite us checking that they would beforehand. We compalianed to the manager who did not seem to care. It was an evening wasted. |

All the staff were very friendly and attentive both during the day and evening after returning from the Millenium Stadium. There was a very nice atmosphere in the hotel. I rang the hotel before my stay to ask if they were showing the England V Australia rugby game and was advised yes they were in the bar area. I consequently invited friends visiting the area coming to watch Wales V New Zealand game to join us for lunch and watch the match before going to the Millenium Stadium and only found out too late that it was not being shown which was very disappointing. Also I was very disappointed in the bar lunch we ordered. |

good friendly helpfull staff especially Simon on arrival carpet in our room was stained in a couple of spots, could do with either a good clean or replacement, not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel |

A wonderful place. Friendly staff, beautiful views of the bay. A bar that is quite reasonable for a five star hotel. We had a huge room service breakfast which was served in a hostess trolley!! Rooms were clean and comfortable with free use of the spa facilities. Highly recommended. Even better if you can get a discount rate as we did. |

Our room on floor 5 was lovely, it looked towards the city and at night the city lights were just beautiful. There was a really nice girl (Charlene) in the restaurant...who went the extra mile to find my partner some chocolate with her coffee (they don't offer chocolate or after dinner mints with coffee). The Reception staff were also very helpful (especially Donata....I think this is the girl's name!). Dinner was delicious but the lunch on Sunday was very disappointing. My partner had some sort of beans/pancetta with seabass....it was tasteless and the Tiramisu was like mousse... not nice! |
