Great location. Liked the Tempest restaurant, great breakfast.
Rude Front desk staff and grubby rooms and lobby. The hotel is quite tired and in need of a refit!
Food and drinks were very expensive
Everything was great but the staff must have an extra mention. Everyone I came into contact with was friendly, warm and helpful. Special mention has to go to the lovely doorman who was the best advert for this hotel. Food was also lovely.
There was nothing that comes into this category.
Exellant location views from room
No mini bar in room 5 star hotel you would expect this and rooms need a complete modern refurbishment decking looked very aged on balcony
We had an upgrade of room. Very nice breakfast. Friendly staff. A very pleasant experience.
Location suited me
Car parking difficult. Room condition "tired" Shower impossibly small. Time has not been kind to building Staff are not 5 star
Great location and view for such a high room rate would expect I bit more of a wow factor billed as a 5star but no where near that for me spa very good tho
Looks dated for a 5 start hotel carpets down to the thread in a number of places
I enjoyed every bit of it and watching my daughter have such a special birthday surprise was amazing x
Loved it all
Elegant and simple design
A way out from the centre
Hotels car parking can be a little chaotic, although there is a pay and display located nearby
The View, the spa, breakfast, comfortable bed, pleasant and helpful staff
Stained carpet and furry cushions on bed
Nice hotel, the spa was also nice and staff were friendly.
Feel like the spa and hotel could do with a lick of paint and an update. I do feel like the rooms are slightly over priced for what you get. Also a lot of the keys for the lockers in the spa had the wrong numbers on them. I had to go out and get someone to help me to find my locker. This also happened to my boyfriend. We were charged for morning papers, even though we didn't request them. And I think it's awful to charge people £15 per night for parking when you are paying a lot to stay at the hotel.
spa and pool
why pay for parking /? should be included for guest
Great view from room overlooking the bay. Room was ok but never a 5 star more 4 star.
First impression when arriving at the Hotel wasnt good. It is in need of a lick a paint, looks dirty and drab from outside. Check in time was 3pm but room wasnt ready until 4pm not a good start. Drinks are really expensive £9.40 for a glass merlo £5.50 for bottled beer there was not one person in the bar at 4pm I wonder why. Tip 5 minutes walk to bay area numerous bars and resturants also a witherspoons, drinks are more than half the price where we saw a lot people from the Hotel. Dissapointed that there were restriction times for children to use the pool 5pm to 6 pm 11.30am to 1.30 pm. By the time we had access to the room at 4 pm it was to much of a rush to go then. Checking out time is 11am by then you are out of the room.Reason no life guard not 5 star
Accessible bedroom was excellent Staff very friendly and helpful Lovely clean bathroom and room Car park within easy walking distance.
Food very pretentious and very over priced, friends ordered lamb and steak and that's all they got, no vegetables, potatoes or any accompaniment, I ordered summer vegetable risotto, the summer vegetables consisted of mashed up peas and broad beans with very heavy risotto rice, certainly not worth what i paid for it!
Perfect location for a night out in the bay. When discounted, hotel is well worth paying a bit extra than competitors for (got the room for £99 plus £10 for an upgrade). Spent 2 hours in the spa on Saturday morning after checkout, which was fab. I live fairly local & often stay overnight in the bay for a night out, and I'd book this again every time.
Not much to frown about. Need to factor in cost of parking, £15 extra, and breakfast was not included in my deal - that was very nice, but not particularly outstanding and on the pricey side. But there's nothing here to put me off returning at all.
Good location. good size room.
Wait time to check in was past the time of 3pm. Apparently was waiting for room to be checked however not sure this was done as their was only one bathrobe which had makeup on it and a couple of stains on it which weren't from me as i don't wear make up.The chair in the room had a chunk missing out of it which made the room look quite tatty.I had paid for an upgrade to a Junior delux suite and expected better. On arrival at the breakfast room on Monday morning quite a few tables needed to be cleared from dirty plates but waitresess didn't seem interested. Very disappointed as this was a treat for my partners birthday.
The spa abd the hotel staff make tne hotel stand out
Small car park, and the council car park has a poor tarif system that can get you a parking ticket. The rooms are tired and in places shabby
sleeping with windows open over the water simple non fussy decor - good quality furniture comfortable bed - excellent shower and the magnifying illuminated mirror is a gem.
hate the newer bathrooms in refurb rooms as they are too dim for you to see to do your face properly. never have breakfast - its over priced & often overcrowded. new decor is gussied up interior designer faff & has lost the strength &simplicity of original
Location was amazing & we had the most beautiful view from our gorgeous room. Food was fabulous with plenty of top quality restaurant in walking distance when eating out.
No space in Hotel car park we parked in adjacent one. Either way you still have to pay the same expensive fee.
hotel facilities were great
paid extra for private balcony and got a butlins style communal balcony that wasn't private at all and hared with approx. 15 other rooms
THIS HOTEL IS GETTING TIRED BATHROOM TO TWO OCCASIONS BASIN CRACKED FOOR TILES CRACKED NOW OVER PRICED
The view from the bedroom. Lovely breakfast. Great location. Lovely spa facilities except needs some attention. Make sure you request refurbished rooms if you book. Had we known, it would have made a huge difference to this review (I hope!)
Room 211. The carpet was dirty and should have been renewed. Floor tiles in bathroom cracked and looked grubby. Only one of each of the complementary toiletries in the bathroom. Shower head did not work properly. Areas of the pool area needed attention. E.g rust and brown marks in areas. Place looked tired!
