Spa & bathroom lotions You were very understaffed at Reception for the whole duration. I thought the flooring in Reception/Bar/Restaurant looked dirty and very down market. The seating in the Bar was atrocious |

I thought the staff were excellent. The spa and gym were excellent facilities It is allegedly a five star hotel. My feelings were that it was an overpriced 3/4 star hotel. How can you be in a hotel that charges 150/175 pounds a night whilst the Ashes is on and the English team is there, yet there was no sky sports on anywhere in the hotel to watch the cricket on? The whole reason we went to Cardiff ,but unfortunately my husband was too sick to attend the game live. They only had it on radio. The Cardiff event of the year! A disgrace. Also they charge 15 pounds a day internet fee. A cheek! |

Despite there being only 4 people in the restaurant for dinner, the food took 40 minutes to arrive and was promptly sent back as part of the meal was burnt black. The Receptionist just dismissed my complaint and was not really bothered. Not to be recommended. |

value for money It was starting to look a bit grubby and unclean. I'd expect a 5 star hotel to be maintained better. Also the bar staff did not know how to mix a proper martini. |

Good location - out of town yet close enough to get to the centre of Cardiff. The hotel standard is excellent, the facilities also. No creaking bed and shower that did not work with high standard of decor. Charging £8 for car parking. If we did not have the special rate we would not have stayed, even with all the excellent facilities. |

Breakfast!!!, We were leaving early so we sat down by 0700,No menu,no choice,a self service breakfast, which I do not expect from a 5*? hotel. The staff were not interested in any way in our needs.very dissapointing, |

View over the bay Took a long time to check in as 3 staff on reception on long phone calls- ? whether a member of staff should look after those at the desk |

The staff were excellent and the hotel itself is in a lovely position. We have stayed here several times before and are never disappointed. I was very happy with the rate we paid and we were delighted to be upgraded upon arrival. The hotel itself looks as though it could do with a bit of TLC, decor and furnishings need to be looked at as some are looking a bit careworn and as this is a 5 star hotel you expect perfection. The breakfast (whilst nice) was not exceptional. |

The ease of check in at the hotel and online. I only stayed for one night and did not partake in the hotel facilities. I would of thought the room would of had a mini-bar fridge inside. But this is not a major issue, just thought for the rating of the hotel you would have the facility. |
