A wonderful place. Friendly staff, beautiful views of the bay. A bar that is quite reasonable for a five star hotel. We had a huge room service breakfast which was served in a hostess trolley!! Rooms were clean and comfortable with free use of the spa facilities. Highly recommended. Even better if you can get a discount rate as we did. |

Our room on floor 5 was lovely, it looked towards the city and at night the city lights were just beautiful. There was a really nice girl (Charlene) in the restaurant...who went the extra mile to find my partner some chocolate with her coffee (they don't offer chocolate or after dinner mints with coffee). The Reception staff were also very helpful (especially Donata....I think this is the girl's name!). Dinner was delicious but the lunch on Sunday was very disappointing. My partner had some sort of beans/pancetta with seabass....it was tasteless and the Tiramisu was like mousse... not nice! |

I chose the St Davids Hotel as it offered excellent spa facilities - and I wasn't disappointed they were wonderful - a perfect way to relax and pamper myself after a busy few weeks. And after a busy weekend shopping to arrive back to a sauna and a facial was just right. Location is also excellent overlooking the bay and with the lively Mermaid Quay offering excellent bars and restaurants to meet friends. There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel |

The entrance hall was very impressive, and on arrival the reception staff were very efficient. The spa was very good. The service in the bar was slightly slow, but the restaurant was efficient and the food good. The room was clean and confortable. |

The location is great for the bay area and Mermaid's Quay. The balcony in the bedroom was a really nice feature also. Breakfast was good with attentive staff. At the price we paid it was very good value but it would be very poor at anything approaching their published rates. Strange system for parking on arrival - although there were plenty of spaces, we were told to park in the adjoining public parking by the doorman. Not really a problem though but gave an initial feeling of negativity. Check in and particularly out was a bit slow. The spa area, although quite nice, was a bit too dark in the evening - too much style over substance. Lighting was a problem in the bedroom also - fine for atmosphere but no good for reading. The bedroom was sparse in furniture - no easy chairs or sofa. |

The general atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and the location. The outlook over the bay was lovely and the breakfast was good. It was quiet which meant a good night's rest. The hotel is well positioned for access to bars and eating places in the bay. It felt like a 5* hotel. |

Leisure facilities, views from room, location, good value for money Staff arguing at breakfast, waiting to be seated at a table. Soapy water landing on me from balcony above when being cleaned in the morning (reported but nothing done). Uncomfortable chairs in bar. |

Wonderful spa, generally friendly and helpful staff, fantastic view of the bay. Great breakfast. Some inconsistency with things like cleaning of room. Our toiletries were never replenished but friends next door had new ones daily. Also on our second visit to the spa there were no towels available and the receptionist just left us waiting for ages without any apologies or helpful assistance (the girl on the other two days was lovely and very helpful). |

The friendliness and helpfulness of staff made our visit even more enjoyable. The bathroom needed refurbishing and daily cleaning was not up the standard expected of a five star hotel. |

From top to bottom, the hotel has class; excellent views, staff with a 'how can we make it right' attitude, and a very nice spa facility. The cost of the food at the restaurant; I got an appetizer and orange juice for 12 pounds- ouch. Especially when there is so much good food just a five minute walk down the pier. |

The room was very comfortable and serviced well. The view was excellent.Spa and pool was a useful facility. Reception was a little stark. Sauna was a little oppressive and steam room would be good. Changing facilities could do with a little moreprivacy, especially for older guests. Hotel position did not easily access the quay area with shops and restaurants-stod on it's own at end of peninsular. If wanting to shop- a city centre hotel would be better positioned. |

When eventually allowed to go in the spa it was fantastic I booked through booking.com ... on check-in we did feel rather second class as if we were budget or discount customers .. the receptionist said "oh they booked through booking.com" ... I booked on your site and specifically requested a twin as I was with my son ... there were no twins available and the receptionist took me to one side and said "well booking through booking.com, there is no gaurantee read their small print ???? also just to add insult we shared a double bed ... my son is 14 ? then they said "you cannot use the spa ... only 11.30am-13.00 0r 17.00-18.00 ... we didnt see that mentioned anywhere otherwise we wouldnt have booked as went to realx ... not be tied for time .. the rooms and decor are becomming tired ... mould around |

Great location and confort Yes - the air con was too loud and the room too hot! When we told the receptionist the next day she wasn't very receptive to the complaint. It spoiled the experience for us somewhat |
