Car park isn't close to rooms and stairs need to be climbed, so it may not suit those with lots of luggage or reduced mobility- not a problem for us- yet!
Lovely grounds and views with easy parking. Comfortable, peaceful rooms, which have all that's needed and are excellent value. We were there in the holidays though.....
The trek from the carpark with four bags, lack of signage!!!! Had to go to reception to report broken kettle which should have been checked Bath water luke warm!!!!!!
Room location, airy, clean and spacious
Double rooms are on the small side and the free internet is in a limited location for a limited time. It wasnt important for us though.
Cheap , quiet, clean, comfortable and flexible. I will use again when I want a bed in the area.
The rooms are a little old fashioned and is more like a college dorm then a hotel. But this didn't effect our stay.
We stayed here for a wedding, absolutely fantastic. Food was brilliant, staff very friendly, set in lovely grounds. Rooms are ok but the bed was so comfy. Overall it was a lovely stay.
there was only one bedside table and one chair, both the bars where shut, very dissappointed.there was some noise in the night by people shouting directly under our window, but none of this has put us off this lovely place, will use again. the breakfast was fab and the staff could not do enough for us, 9 out of 10.
the staff very friendly, room nice and clean. it is good just for one night.
Everything.Absolutely nothing to dislike about this place at all.
Longish walk from car park and up stairs with luggage.
Large comfortable room, plenty of soft towels
I understand this is a student campus and as it was holidays it was quiet - it might be different in term time - however it is great value for money and the room standards were high.
The food in the restaurant was excellent. I will be staying there again.
The Webb site gave the impression of an up market, plush and classy experience. not a university dorm room with no view. They should of given you a map with the key at reception to save a lot of confusion.
Room was clean and beds were comfortable..
The room was roasting and there was no way to open the window even an inch. Nice light above the bed but the switch for it was behind the middle of the headboard. The extractor fan in the bathroom was not wired in to the main light to turn off after a reasonable time, so it was going all night until I found the switch to turn it off. At breakfast the coffee ran out (though we didn't ask) I would have thought it was obvious to the staff it was getting low.
The on site signs to the entrance from the car park don't mention The Stables. Took a few minutes to work out how to get in.
Set in lovely grounds The Stables is normally part of Doncaster University. But out of term time they offer great value rooms. The weekend full English breakfast is a must.
Very bad mobile signal
Value for money
Restaurant closed do to private wedding party. Had to call security to get me out of main entrance to block A, Keys on fob not correct for this lock. What if there had been a fire?
Quiet location. Friendly and informative staff explained my options about restaurant being closed
Fusty smell ,old furniture and could here everything from other guests in nearby rooms,
Comfort of the bed and pillows
The car parking is not near the rooms and the rooms are not close to reception. All a bit all over the place. The room was very small and at breakfast we had to sit on one long table with people we didn't know as the other tables were set for lunch!
The room was spotless, very clean and the bed was comfortable. The food was very good.
The comfort if the room. Facilites and price.
Paid for 2 nights when we got there got a receipt, then when leaving was told we hadn't paid good job I kept my receipt.
Could do with updating the wifi. Took me ages to log in and find what was the right password. Then when I did I lost the signal.
The room was clean and tidy. Very comfy bed.
Of the road, no signs to the hotel.
Clean and peaceful place, real value for money.
if there was any other rating above excellent I would give it to them
Wi Fi was poor and the restaurant was a little expensive
The facilities for the price were very good
Best value ang great views
No wi fi available
Comfort of bed Evening meal in bar
Rung Reception at 7.45pm as no heating. 8.30pm rung Reception again. Rung again at 9.30pm 9.40pm finally maintenance man turned up. By 10pm in a different room!!!
Wi-fi which is reasonably good in the evening tends to drop off first thing in the morning. Couldn't access it after 8am on the day I left.
The room is clean and comfortable with ensuite bathroom. Theres a lovely pack of toiletries waiting and refreshments too. I love this venue it has easy access to major routes in the area but you are in the country. I find staying here quite relaxing. I haven't used the on site facilities bar and restaurant but they looked good enough.
