Staff friendly and helpful, 24 hour bar, fairly decent breakfast included in out price. Loved it that there was a pool table in bar area, was also fruit machine, quiz machine and a tv....was about 20 minute brisk walk to town centre, but cab was only a fiver.
Room stank. Smell seemed to be coming from cupboard (maybe because it was very old wood) so we opened windows and sprayed perfume to try to mask it for a couple of days. no towels in room so we had to go down to get them from reception and had to get a toilet roll as half a roll not enough for two people for two nights, wasn't too bothered about all this as was only really looking for somewhere to get our head down for a couple of nights so we could enjoy Nottingham nightlife!
No soap or shampoo in bathroom. Toilet paper no replenished. Reception not able to source email sent for my attention. No breakfast available at stated hour on Sunday. Bed uncomfortable.
Cheap. Free parking. Mile from city centre. Free breakfast. Was on 3rd floor at the back so it was quiet.
Room was ok. No teaspoons anywhere, in bedroom or canteen. Paper thin walls so you can hear your neighbours getting their leg over.
The staff were really friendly
Breakfast in the morning was cold, tea and coffee also cold with no orange/Apple juice left and no staff around. Beds really uncomfortable and hard to sleep on, my partner ended up sleeping on the floor was was too painful for his back. No toiletries included as it stated when we booked. Staff were friendly but were nowhere to be found!
Smell, bed, decor etc...
My stay at the Stage Hotel was excellent room was immaculate the bed was very comfortable nite staff where very polite and breakfast was also very good in all very good value for money will definitely use again if i am.in the area
The hotel smelled, rooms not clean, Tea spoon dirty, Bathroom tiles dirty, overall not very clean.
Was fine. Not as bad as people ,ale out. Clean bedding and bathroom. If you're paying under 40 for a hotel don't expect much more than this. Room was warm and cosy
nothing stands out being that bad
The staff were friendly, I requested a later check out and got one at no extra charge
Nice location pay for what you get nice hotel a bit run down but nowhere near as bad as reviews
Hotel was simply disgusting, rooms was like prison cells, staff very rude and cleanliness appalling. Also they are con artists and charge your card more money for things like Internet and cleaning charges without telling you. My stay was suppose to cost £60 for 1night but they charged my card and additional £180 without my knowledge. When I rang them they was shouting at me down the phone sayng my friend was sick in the room and that was the reason for £180 extra charge. My bank is currently disputing this. Simply don't stay here.
the staff were very helpful and friendly
the hotel was extremely dated, badly finished, smelt strange (dusty), bedside lights did not work and the electrics were dangerous, no mirror in bathroom, no towels, breakfast was pre-cooked and then re-heated (not good), wifi would not work
Everything, no towels, no proper TV channels, dirty, will never be going again
Quite far from the city, and it was creepy in the room.
Cheap with good breakfast and nice bar
Wouldn't suit romantic gettaways
Comfortable beds Helpful and attentive staff Excellent breakfast
Location is out of the way so we had to get taxi's in to tons but they are cheap enough
nice bar, check in area. nice staff downstairs nice
upstairs to rooms horribile. carpets in room horrible heating at night did not come on wi fi does not work noise from guests noise from outside overpriced
I didn't like anything
The room was dirty. Got there and the sheets had blood on them. Most if the staff were rude to me and my friends. The food wasn't hot as it should be. Overall the hotel should not be open to the public. It should be closed down for poor health and safety and health and hygiene. As this was a very dirty place to stay!!!
The hotel has potential but lacks investment.
Room not cleaned properly! room only a single with a double bed, bed head broken. no towels. Tea making facilities no milk dirty cups.
Good location, relatively cheap
Noise until 2am Sat night, my room was like a disco right above a function room. Staff unhelpful told me noise would finish 1am it did not finish until nearly 2am. Rooms noisy and windows single glazed with road noise outside. Disturbed night sleep. Only stay here if desperate.
The receptionist was rude, she'd taken money off card prior to arrival when we'd arranged to pay on check in as cash, when I advised the transactions had made me overdrawn and I will receive bank charges her response was 'I don't care' the room stunk like death, stains all up walls, used tissues in bed drawers, stains on bedside table that I had to wipe up myself. Poor excuse for a lock on the door. Terrible!!
Every thing This hotel is a death trap waiting to happen. Bookings . Com should take this off there list
Not much, the location wasn't too bad and the fact that there was free parking was good.
Only had one towel and one body wash on arrival, had to ask for more. When we went out we had to hand in our key at reception, don't like that. Room not very clean. No wifi code readily available and couldn't find any staff at the time so we couldn't access the free wifi.
Being next to the stairwell kept being woken up in the night.
The bed was very poor I could feel springs in my back.
