The location was great, in the village of Lawley. Nice and peaceful. The owner was pleasant and nothing was to much for her. She even did some laundry for us for a small extra cost. We were at the IPMS model show in Telford so this location was ideal as it was a short distance away from the venue. Nice pub just down the road that served reasonably priced meals.
The hospitality of the landlady. Made me a hot drink on arrival with home-made cakes. Also sorted out taxis for me that evening.
Everything and also the fact that Hazel made me a packed lunch every day.
Hazel greeted us on arrival and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Delicious breakfasts and lovely room. Very homely and comfortable.
Liked everything. Room, bathroom, house, garden, breakfast - all brilliant!
We ordered a cot and although bedding was provided there was no actual mattress, just a foldable base to the travel cot but no actual mattress. I don't think realised that this isn't a mattress. The lady was so nice we didn't want to tell her as everything else was great. Baby ended up sleeping in bed with us.
Comfort. Clean Good breakfast Friendly Good value for money
Lovely B&B, warm friendly welcome, excellent facilities, nice breakfast....
fantastic stay, very warm and welcoming would definitely go back.
parking was a little awkward due to the feature on the drive way.
Absolutely everything. First class service.
Good location Pleasant room Professional welcome Degree of flexibility with breakfast (provided banana and instant porage + oat bar) Very clean and tidy
Parking is awkward when full Winter duvet too warm had to be dispensed with Small room doesnt lend itself to the business (laptop) user Earliest cooked breakfast 7am
I've stayed here a number of times and I can thoroughly recommend it. A friendly welcome and an excellent breakfast
Very friendly and welcoming manager, clean and comfortable room, quiet surroundings and a good breakfast.
Great value for money, nothing too much trouble for the host. Food and room excellent.
Great breakfasts and friendly hosts.
The quiet and tranquility of the Stanage
Guest house very nice, spacious room and bathroom, clean and tastefully decorated. Good full scottish breakfast, there was also fresh fruit. Free Wifi available in the room. Free parking in the courtyard. There are no restaurants or pubs nearby, serves the car. Lovely owners; recommended
Felt very relaxed at this fantastic b&b from the moment I arrived. Room was lovely and spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and great to have honey from the bees in the garden. A lot of thought has gone into making visitors feel at home.
The room was large and comfortable, with lots of storage space. Breakfast was excellent. A large and comfortable bed, quiet location and thick curtains ensured a great night's sleep.
Just about everything.
Not sure about Wi Fi.
Welcome drink and cake on arrival and very good breakfast.
The friendliness of Hazel the owner, the cleanliness of the room and the well cooked breakfast. The location was handy for what we wanted to see
The sloping ceiling in the bathroom was a bit awkward for my husband as he is tall.
The location was good and there were lots of interesting places to visit both towns and NT houses. Hazel was really lovely and went above what was expected. On arrival we were greeted with tea and scones in the garden and she was very helpful giving us ideas and information of places to visit. Breakfast was good with lovely fresh strawberries and blueberries plus the normal food. We wanted to stay an extra day and she very kindly accomodated us. Our room looked out over the garden and had more than the usual items, such as socks, slippers, hot water bottle (not needed in the summer!) dressing gowns to name but a few. All very clean and roomy. Excellent. Hazel even went the extra mile and gave us an anniversary card the day we were celebrating 53 years!! Such a lovely touch, also a gift when we left. Wish all B&Bs were as nice and good value.
The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the size of the bathroom, but it was clean and had all the necessary items. Obviously in an older house it would mean a lot of work just to extend the bathroom. The shower was good it was just the size of the room. But it didn't stop us enjoying our stay.
The hostess was wonderful. The breakfast was great (and the recommendation for dinner, too). There were no amenities left out -- great attention to detail. Nice size room, comfortable bed, even a wash cloth!
