Friendly & efficient staff. Clean comfortable room. Excellent food & ale. Nice country pub atmosphere with friendly locals.
No batteries in TV remote control.
bar and hotel staff were very attentive food selection reasonable nice real ales on draft clean and spacious room very good bathroom and shower lovely local yogurt for breakfast very nice bread at breakfast
room was very hot pillows a little bit too soft would prefer mugs to cups complimentary toilet goods not provided restaurant was very busy and quiet a long wait so ate very late
Everything was very good. Food, room ,service.
Not a great deal but I did find the duvet rather heavy and warm. Not a huge problem really.
Location is lovely in a small quiet village, the bar is well stocked with some real ales. The food is fantastic, the staff friendly and the rooms well finished.
Fantastic renovation, ultra clean, thoughtful touch such as fresh cooked biscuits in room a pleasant touch. Would not hesitate to stay again.
Pillows were like a rock, which is ok if you like hard pillows, but no option available for those that prefer something easier on the head and neck, otherwise everything else was great.
Lovely big room. Large bed. Very clean and beautiful location. Would love to return!
Location and beautiful room.
Whether it was because of work being carried out or whether it was normal for the inn the staff were very offhand from check in through three breakfasts which did not compare with the usual continental breakfasts we have had elsewhere until our departure. In our experience, service and friendliness is what brings us back not just a beautiful room.
Quiet and comfortable rooms with beautiful modern interior in a historic building, very friendly and helpful staff. Stylish restaurant attached to pub has excellent food, good wine selection.
Very relaxed. Great pub atmosphere too
No complaints whatsoever
Beautiful surroundings in lovely village. Didn't get chance to try the food but the menu looked good. Rooms very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay and had everything we needed.
One small discomfort was that we stayed on quite a warm day and the windows didn't open very far so the room was quite hot during the night. Otherwise perfect!
The rooms were modern and good quality furniture
The bed frame was a little noisy when you moved in your sleep.
A really enjoyable stay. Very clean and comfortable. The rooms exceeded our expectations.
I can't comment since they cancelled our booking very soon after we booked it. They said they had double booked. From the number of emails booking.com have sent me recently, the Star Inn clearly didn't have the courtesy to inform you!
The staff are so friendly and polite always on hand if you need anything. The Star Inn itself is gorgeous, in a beautiful village very clean and comfortable. I have told all my family & friends and will definitely be going back
good staff, good food, lovely village
quiet rural setting for a taste of England
Better local transport options would be good.
The food was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. We enjoyed a quiz and found the regulars very welcoming.
Would have liked a breakfast menu, but that is just being picky.
I liked everything about the Star. The staff was more than pleasant, the food was excellent, the accommodations were stellar (very comfortable and clean), and the location was handy to where I was headed.
Friendly staff, good food, clean and very well appointed room.
The room was well laid out it was nice and big very impressed.
What I didnot like I agree a fee when i booked the room then to be told the Price has changed this is not acceptable under no circumstances I was very unhappy
The rooms were clean and modern. easy access with card entry. lunch bites - Food was fantastic good prices would definitely stay again
pillows were huge and uncomfortable smell of drains in the room
Hotel was lovely, finished to a very high standard.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ate lunch in the bar and enjoyed it very much.
We were disappointed in the continental breakfast. This really meant tea and toast with some cereal and juice. we felt some cheese, cold meats etc would have made all the difference.
nice pub in a lovely village good food and excellent real ale choices
Staff very welcoming cleanliness great place
