Food very good. Clearly all freshly cooked to order. This did mean waiting a little longer than might normally be expected but well worth the wait. Rooms and decor very modern and well appointed. Staff friendly and pleasant. A bit more attention to detail. For example we went down to breakfast and sat at what appeared to be a freshly laid table but noticed bread crumbs on chair and table from previous users that morning. Not a major issue but should not happen. Dirty cups not replaced in room. Cobweb in window. All minor things that did not ruin the stay. As said just need to watch the detail.

Quality finishes in bedroom and bathroom. Friday night bar and restaurant had a very buzzy atmosphere and the food was excellent – superior and sophisticated. Liked the location on the village green. Despite the quality finishes in bedrooms there was a lack of colour and character, the room was bland. Also the pillows were spongey and rock hard. Why oh why do so many hotels fall short in the pillow department. Feather pillows are really not that expensive and so worth it.

The room was spotless and newley refurbished. Everywhere was clean and modern The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Parking was fine. We would have liked to have eaten in the restaurant, but due to the excellent food it was fully booked, so we ate in the bar. If you wish to use the restaurat, we suggest you book early

I liked nearly everything about it and would certainly recommend it. However, whoever was on duty on Sunday morning did not check the price quoted me and gave me a bill for about £7 too much.. Had I not had a print out of my internet booking with me, I would have been very diffident about challenging that. That put me off a little and I would tell anyone wanting to stay with you to definitely bring their confirmation of booking. Otherwise - a lovely stay thank you

Quality of rooms, comfort of beds, bar/restaurant downstairs, food quality Only thing would have changed was a 'proper' hairdryer in room and maybe biscuits with tea/coffee making facility

Excellent room, clean with comfy bed and huge bath, ideal location for a wedding we were attending. Good continental breakfast. Warm welcome. Room kept very hot, even after we turned radiator off. Struggled with service at breakfast when more than two couples present. Refused to take a food order at 8pm on a Saturday night and complained that our (post- wedding party) was larger (6-8 people more) than expected despite our having put money behind the bar and not being in the slightest bit rowdy. This included complaining to the groom, at which point we left. Charged £6.95 for two poached eggs at breakfast with no warning or apparent acknowledgment that this was unreasonably high. Noise from glass recycling before 9am on weekends.

We stayed here overnight while going to a wedding in the area. We received a very friendly welcome and there was no problem leaving our bags in the rooms even though they weren’t yet ready. The rooms were newly refurbished and very comfortable, with everything we could possibly imagine needing. Continental breakfast was included in the room price, but we opted for a cooked breakfast, which was absolutely delicious.
