Staff really good & value for money
Room 5 is small but manageable
Pub seemed nice Simple room Good for overnight stay
Noises from staff at back of pub at closing. Only one pillow No one around in morning Room only basis no breakfast option.
- location was easy to find, close to train station - good valued hotel; Could hear some noise from the accompanying pub, but quiet enough to not be disturbing - would definitely book it again.
- had to provide credit card details during check-in, including CVC, even though I paid in cash on beforehand.
Location; value for money; good range of real ales
Tram works outside window. early morning bottle emptying. Limited menu.
The bed was very comfortable
We arrived in the evening and very tired so I decided a shower would be good, half way through we had no hot water and had to move rooms. Don't think we have ever seen such small rooms, it would be better to have an ordinary bed instead of the metal beadstead as it was impossible to move around the bedroom. Couldn't even fill the kettle under the tap as basin so small!
The location is great
Raucous and noisy.
Value for money Very clean
Room was a bit tight for space
Staff - friendly Clean Simple
No one around in morning
Handily close to Tesco Friendly staff Good range of whisky and tasty beer
Narrow corridors and tight door openings Noisy other residents coming in after midnight then talking and laughing extremely loudly for sometime after
Nice large room with On-Suite bathroom, very clean. Also, surprisingly, Very Quiet
Insufficient 'Cow Eggs' for the coffee (only 4 and you need 2 per cup). Television too small to see from Bed (particularly the channel guide. Poor selection of Bar Snacks only (who eats hot Pork Pie with Mushy Peas???)
Very friendly staff Easy to find Close to Notts city centre Close to shops/ restaurants in local area Rooms over a pub- good beer Newly decorated rooms Loads of parking Next to central bus station into Notts... train station also near by
Got back late and couldn't find accomodation entrance- had left via pub exit earlier- could do with better signposting to entrance. Parking location also needs to highlighting Initially in a single room which was quite small but fit for purpose
The doors are noisy when closed, thus when somebody get out of the room in the morning, you just wake up.
We'll come, very good service
No chair in the room
Small room but clean and modern
Wifi was weak from my room
Clean and friendly
Furniture a bit sparse
nice modern rooms, a bit small but fine for a night or two
Room and ensuite recently refurbished. Modern and very clean. Lovely quality sheets. Super shower with plently of hot water and toiletries provided. Single room was compact but all I needed for one night. Staff friendly and helpful. One mos helped me up the stairs with my suitcase. This was really appreciated as I was very weary when I arrived.
I didn't like leaving the key in the door (as instructed by landlord) when I left as it would have been obvious to other guests that I had vacated the room. This meant if they had stolen anything from the room I had used (eg TV), I would have been charged for the losses. I left the keys inside the room but obviously room was still unlocked. Would be better if vacating guests could leave room secure when they leave and deposit the keys through a letterbox or into a secure box? My poor quality of sleep was entirely due to the other guests, who were very noisy and inconsiderate of others when they came inafter midnight. Some were very late at about 3am. I realise that this is no reflection on the landlord/accommodation.
No breakfast! There was no where close by to get any we didn't really want to be travelling around for ages looking for somewhere!!!
I just didn't really like it at all and would never stay there again
The room was as big as a postage stamp, and comfort was at a minimum. It was stuffy. The worst thing though was the noise from the pub below. The room was directly over a wooden walkway joining the pub to an outdoor tented seating area and the noise was excruciating. I didn't realize the pub served no food, and parking was a bit of a nightmare. I hated returning to my room each night knowing I was going to be miserable
Fantastic bed - best I've slept in (Sheriff's Room) Access to good places to visit
Noise from road and what is it with the salad garnish on the breakfast???? please leave it off....
Friendly staff - when they are on duty (no one in the morning) Rooms have been refurbished Spotless A choice of direct buses running into Nottingham very frequently
As mentioned, not possible to have dinner or breakfast It is above and next to a pub, so you should expect some noise on a week end
Wonderful one night stay. Kind and wonderful staff, very helpful.
Nothing...all was perfect
Lovely beer, outside area really lovely and lots of space, rooms really clean, staff helpful and friendly. People have complained about parking due to tram works but parking to the building at the right of The Star is fine.
Bottle of wine expensive, only 1 towel for 2 guests (we had to pack in a rush as relative in hospital)
Road works all around so very hard to get to
The Pub and terrace/garden, great! clean room and bath
no chair and no table in very small room. noisy during the night
