We had excellent service and the Hotel suites us perfectly The breakfast rooms were in the basement and there was not natural light and no flow through ventilation.

While being a small hotel, the Sumner has spacious and comfortable rooms, and a very good breakfast. Free WiFi, coffee and tea, good location and very reasonable price for this part of London completes that picture.

The hotel is situated at 3 blocks away from the Marble Arch Underground Station. It is a pleasure to walk to Hyde Park via the Marble Arch while the Oxford Street is only 5 minutes from the hotel. The hotel is modern and boutique type hotel. It is clean and and cozy. Your sleep will not be disturbed by the heavy traffic at the main street. The attendance to room service is excellent. Although no boiler is available, the warm water, coffee & tea service is provided via a phone call. The only thing I dislike is the wifi service. The service is broken down twice during my 6-day. Maybe I should not read e-mails so frequently during Easter!

hotel has been expensively furbished. it is well located and has a relaxed (but not homely) air. it could be very good. nil concierge (didnt even have an up to date A-Z or actually know what an A-Z was!), burnt bacon fire alarm 6.30 sunday morning, no hot water in entire hotel sunday morning. Receptionist looked stunned at suggestion of a refund (5% was later returned which was hardly generous). eggs solid at breakfast, dry croissants + breakfast room in basement, small + claustrophobic. Too many corners are being cut to make this a professionally managed hotel so i will look elsewhere next time

Very nice hotel, well situated and with a boutique style for the common rooms. The staff is very nice and helpful. Missing some towel dryer and hanging space in the bathroom. The room was ok and comfortable but I was expecting it to be more in the style of the common areas.

The sumner is a very good hotel ,Cosy you feel like you are in your own home ,I booked a standard room but upgraded to a king deluxe room which was nice with two windows facing the street the bathroom was also nice, you can order tea or coffee in the room free which is good ,however, they should improve the room services like cleaning, and the variety in the buffet breakfast, there was no deposit in the room . There was no deposit box in the room No variety in the breakfast buffet Need to improve room services like cleaning

The relaxed atmosphere and cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast was good quality. The location was excellent. The room was nice. The staff were helpful. I thought the price of the room was on the expensive side at £227 per night.

The Sumner is a fabulous boutique hotel near Marble Arch, Oxford Street and Hyde Park. The room we had in 'the basement' was a pleasant surprise - very spacious and well appointed. The staff are accommodating and quite happily made us a fresh pot of coffee or tea each time we requested it either to our room or the lounge. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection of breakfast foods and good coffee available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sumner and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for an extremely well located accommodation close to excellent transport and tourist facilities/attractions. When returning to London we will be staying here.

Location, decor, comfort, style, service and overall mood were excellent. Staff friendly and attentive; breakfast slightly limited but not a deal breaker. Room cleaned well; shower, etc attractive and functioned well; towels noted for softness. TV reception unfortunately limited to certain channels only; fault reported and investigated conscientiously but to no avail. This fault marred an otherwise pleasant stay, but the staff were enthusiastic at attempting to solve it and highly apologetic and gracious in defeat.

Fantastic location, Five minute walk to marble Arch and the tube. I was awakened by the sun coming in through the windows. For the price of the room you really expect to have black out curtains. Rooms are not sound proofed wither as i could hear the guests above moving around.

“Perfect location for shopping and sightseeing. Room was very pleasant at 8th floor, calm and light. Comfortable beds, clean floor carpet and good space. Nice, clean bathroom.
