Breakfast was lovely very well cooked
The shower was cold no matter how much you ran it
the steps, ramps, to get into the front door, the flight of stairs down to the dining room, and the three flight of stairs to our room, door into the room didn't lock properly, bathroom door didn't open very easily, toilet cistern was loose on the wall, curtains were coming off the rail, i did tell the owner but all she said was i don't understand! i do have pictures, REALLY NOT SUITABLE FOR PARTIALLY DISABLED PERSONS, far too many stairs, but the owner did call me a taxi when i had to take my partner to the hospital, not too sure if it was because we were late checking out of the room and wanted rid of us. definately won't be using them again.
Loved the room , brilliant sea view, great choice of breakfast at times that suited us ,very friendly hosts, all amenities superb , will be going there again as soon as we can, Thank you Jackie and John.
location the bed and bedding were very comfortable the room was nice and quiet. luckily I was on the first floor - as there are 4 floors here and no lift - I hadn't realised this when I booked.
could only access sheltered smoking garden at certain times - not much good when you want a smoke with your morning coffee at 7 am - and one before you go to bed! the room had not been cleaned properly - there was blood in the basin and hair on the toilet - I wont mention the thick dust on the skirting board and dado rail. I thought it overpriced for out of season Weston-s-Mare - I may be wrong on that need to do more research - but it seemed quite a high tariff to me at £60 per night late October.
Pleasant dining room and very good cooked breakfasts.
Rooms are small and one of our party said his room smelled damp.
cuttlery dirty plates dirty damp smell in building very run down
Breakfast was excellent
room was far to small ensuite not enougth room to move bed was very uncomfortable
The location of sunfold is ideal just a short walk from the main centre. John and Jackie are a friendly couple who will help with anything. The building itself is your typical Victorian property, lots of stairs! The room (11) wasn't huge but it was clean and the bed comfortable with an extra room to the side with a sofa bed and TV. The breakfast was adequate with your usual choice of fruit and cereal. Overall it was adequate for what we paid.
Parking is very limited. There are 4 spaces available but if you park at the front you can get blocked in! On the other hand, these were built in the days before cars so they make the most of available space. The showers on the upper floors need upgrading to electric as it takes a good while for the hot water to flow through but its OK when it finally comes through. The WiFi also drops out but that's a minor glitch. The sausage!
Limited access to most rooms by anyone with mobility problems. Over 60 staircase steps between top room and dining area. Limited car parking - especially if there are more than two cars.
Bed very comfy
The warm friendly greeting, the freedom of choice at breakfast and the quiet peaceful sleeptime. Lovely hosts, we shall return.
Brilliant room, comfortable bed with loads of hot water and a lovely shower. Loved not having silly little bottles of shower gel etc. Much more environment friendly. Quiet and right on the seafront!
Breakfast wasn't available until 8:45, so I had to leave without it. Please can you mention this on house rules?
Welcome from hosts and the bed was so comfy slept like a log.
Can't really say there was nothing I didn't like.
lack of parking room not too clean window opened on to the smoking area bar only open until 9-00 pm breakfast very late and very average
Poor breakfast, and poor accommodation.
Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
The best thing about our stay was the location, right opposite the beach and promenade allowing a very nice and gentle stroll into town.
Welcoming hosts. Food - breakfast was very good veggie option much appreciated by my wife and sister in law. Well decorated, very clean and tidy premises. Would certainly use this hotel again if down that way.
Type of Electric Kettle, had to carry mains cable to sink as well as kettle to fill, not good practice. Shower extractor fan slats rattled loudly due to the wind even with shower door shut, disturbing sleep. Not sure how this can be rectified. Ok once wind eased off/dropped.
The owners were very welcoming and jolly. Great location on the sea front.
Steps up to front door very dangerous especially at night leaving the hotel could not see them, in fact I personally fell down the first one. rooms could do with modernising and cleaning up to a better standard. Found our room very cramped, had to turn sideways to get anywhere, especially bathroom very uncomfortable. Food at breakfast not fresh butcher standard more supermarket. taste.
Breakfast Comfy bed Clean towels Friendly owners
The bathroom needed attention as the loo system was coming away from the wall!!!! No biscuits etc with the tea tray & no hot chocolate drinks provided. Lock on the door not very secure - coming off!!!!
Dirty cutlery, cups.. 4 flights of stairs. A very worn out uncomfortable matress. Shower grubby and small. Struggled to turn in it. Kettle in room needed a good clean.
should have stayed longer
One adult two young children HAD to book family rooms that connect, shame w.c didn't had to leave rooms to use had to take room key in case got licked out. TV and kettle not working. Not worth cost.
my bin was not emptied from previous guests car park very small
