breakfast was somewhat chaotic over the Christmas period
Second rate shower
Great place for the money. Room not huge but everything clean and neat and lovely food in the hotel. Highly recommend as a stop over.
Noisy doors banging in the night as people came and went.
Good food bit on the expensive side ,but saying that it was good food
Very accessible, friendly. helpful staff, great food, great beer, all at a great price; what more do you want
Nice breakfast, polite staff, commutable to bristol.
The bathroom was uncomfortable, blocked drain, no windows.
location- broke our journey to Cornwall ideally. Fabulous milk shakes. Rooms lovely.
breakfast staff a bit distracted
clean fresh sheets polite staff
noise no iron locks - couldnt get in room
Ambience; food; clean rooms
Cheap lumpy bed; small breakfast (although excellent quality)
Staff were very helpful and the room was kept very clean thankyou to both front of house, catering and housekeeping staff.
Noise level was very bad. The guest in the upstairs room I thought at one time was going to come through the ceiling, walls to thin I could hear TV and snoring. More soundproofing could be done. I know they are old buildings but this needs to be taken into account when guests need a good night sleep for work the next day.
Comfortable. Friendly staff. Sleeping accommodation in a separate building so not disturbed by noise from lively pub
Shower was only a trickle. Not enough pressure? By a noisy main road
staff,accomodation and food all excellent
Great place to eat too. Quiet & comfortable.
Everything. would recommend to anyone.
Friendly helpful staff. Good home cooked breakfast included in price. Original decor in public areas and bedrooms. Lovely flower displays all year round. Comfortable rooms, plenty of tea and coffee, not silly little packets. A lot of thought seems to have gone into making this a very pleasant place to stay.
Traffic noise can keep you awake in the rooms at the front. Could do with new double glazed windows.
good location and provided an early breakfast
Conveniently situated for breaking a long journey to Cornwall also comfortable accommodation
Very comfortable room. Staff were helpful and attentive. Delicious evening meal and breakfast.
Some traffic noise in certain bedrooms.
Food and accommodation
Warm welcome, decently decorated room, terrific bar food, nice fresh breakfast
Room 1 needs some noise insulating as there were drunk people in the courtyard until after 2.30am. New mattresses also badly needed. Could be maybe more choice at breakfast (fruit, yoghurt etc)
Really good food in restaurant, helpful staff, good service . Comfortable bed and bedding.
Room heating a bit hard to control and bathroom drafty. Some fruit at breakfast would be nice
We stayed overnight at The Swan to break our journey to Cornwall. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We had an excellant evening meal and breakfast was very good also.
beds and towels were crisp and clean.
The carpet had a really bad smell both in the Annex and in the Bar/Breakfast Room
Cleanliness. Good breakfast with nice quirky touches. Accessibility to the M4/5. Plenty of on site parking.
Fragile crummy electric powered shower.
