Beautiful rooms with excellent attention to detail. Always spotting something new when we looked around the room. Breakfast was exquisite and dinner in the restaurant was delicious. The restoration of the family home to an Inn is an outstanding success. Not a lot. Bedside lights do not have independent switches. That's all!

The food was amazing, more choice on the menu for breakfast perhaps eg. porridge. The room was lovely & comfortable though we would have liked some robes. A fabulous stay. A lack of hot water on the Sunday morning but the management responded to this very quickly & efficiently. Parking outside could be a problem during the week though so drop off your baggage before parking up.

Quaint old Inn, a great place to stay if you have a bit of time to relax, read the paper by the fire etc. Ideal for a weekend away with the missus. Room (William's Room) was basically how my bedroom would look if I won the lottery. Breakfast didn't start serving until 8am, a bit late for business travellers.

Staff very friendly and helpful Food excellent, breakfast and dinner parking around the hotel almost impossible bathroom - no locker on the door, no way of drying the floor after showering (modern open shower)

the room was beautiful, very spacious and attention to detail superb. Large flat screen tv, lots of olde worlde charm, very private and quiet. Delicious breakfast (although no toast) with excellent service. tea and coffee making facilities lacking in the room, eg had to go and ask for some milk and then only got a very small jug, as they were short of jugs in the restaurant!! then when I asked for more I was asked if I still had the previous jug!! by member of the bar staff

Interesting rooms Food was very expensive. Breakfast a tad chaotic and not good value. Odd having a shower with a clear glass window over looking the main street. Doors awkward.
