Good location to visit local attractions eg Stonehenge and its good value for money!!!
Staff, food, service, all good
The room was uncomfortably hot with no way to regulate the temperature. It was almost unbearable.
Bed a little hard for me
Attentive staff, great sense of humour Excellent food Wood fire in the bar Variety of drinks available Warm, spacious room Big, comfortable bed Very near Stonehenge & Salisbury Cathedral (Magna Carta)
Shower enclosure too small for us/Triton electric shower not sufficiently powerful or constant for a 'proper' shower
we were impressed with the staff at the swan. they were very welcoming when we 1st arrived. rooms were very cosy and clean. food was plentiful and tasty.
Room was clean and spacious. Quiet,as window had triple glazing. Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. Tasty breakfast.
Mattress was memory foam, very hard. Could'nt pick up wifi signal. Lacking on the toletries front,1 tiny bottle between us.
Road traffic noise
Good food, nice room
Our room was comfortable and had an up to date bathroom. The atmosphere was friendly and food good.
We could hear people in next room talking but this may have been because they were noisy and not aware of others
Excellent staff.Very friendly.Food was very good.Carvery especially recommended! Traffic noise blocked out by triple glazing in our room. The Swan provided us with a very useful base for visiting Stonehenge and Salisbury.
Hotel is in the process of being refurbished and in places is a little 'tired' Visitors with children and anyone with mobility problems should be aware that to access the hotel from the main car park a VERY busy main road has to be crossed.Cross the road with extreme caution.
Great secluded location very friendly and helpful staff .Food excellent all this set in a quiet country pub stayed one night very cosy.River garden across the road is calming watching the swans and wildlife.
Very Helpful staff
No plugs near the mirrors
B&B is next to busy road.
Helpful and pleasant staff Nice clean room Great value Food and price
Bunk bed stuffed in window making it impossible to close curtains. Main road directly outside far too noisy. This place looks grim on arrival and does not get much better when you walk inside.
Food and service were both excellent and we were made to feel very welcome which is of course what all hood hospitality is about. The room was spotless but very small, especially as I was expecting a twin room and got a double to share with my friend.
The bedroom we were allocated overlooked the main road into Sailisbury which is a busy road, and was smaller than any room I have stayed in for a while.
The food was excellent and staff friendly, especially the 2 Portuguese guys! Room was very clean
The bed was like a rock! The water power was poor.
Very good friendly welcome. Treated as an individual not a 'number'. Room was good quality and no traffic noise despite room being on front.
Double bed was very soft - ok for 1 person but 2? Plus arrived late & left early so was not there during day time. But had I been the picture on the website was very misleading as there was a busy road between the river/gardens and the hotel that the picture cleverly hides! So a quiet relaxing stay in general may have been a challenge.
The staff were friendly, food good. This is a rambling old establishment and had recently been refurbished. The shower was brand new and wonderful. Very close to Stonehenge.
This is very close to the road.. its an old coaching in and the road is very busy. Can be difficult to cross at busy times. This was a minor problem.
Staff were keen to help and made our stay very pleasant. Whilst on a busy road the windows were triple glazed and couldn't here traffic
Bedroom was lovely. Very comfortable warm bed and clean en suite.
Very disappointed with quality of food and sticky tacky dining tables 2 days running. A big deal was made about paying the bill and trying to double charge us - left a very bad impression!
Good country pub ambience. Good food choices.
accommodation was good but four poster bed advertised was a very cheap spindly version which was not sturdy and therefore not very comfortable. being a hot day it was a toss up as to having the triple glazed Windows open to hear heavy traffic or not!
good for overnight stay when travelling. large carpark which is free, good food.
not much nearby carpark across a busy main road,
