Starting from and running through Stoford, there are some scenic walks along the river Wyle and also to the ancient settlement of Old Sarum. Very little light polution, so stars are clear on a cloudless night. Stoford is a little outside Salisbury, handy for those who like a rural setting, but also just a short drive or cycle ride to the city and the famous cathedral.
