Despite booking this hotel 5 months previously and ringing up a week before arrival to enquire about an evening meal, 5 of us arrived in pouring rain, to be told that there was no room for us, as he had mistakingly double booked our rooms, getting dates mixed up and someone was in our rooms. He was very apologetic and rang around and found us alternative rooms in a very nice b/b, but not good is it?

I liked the price I liked the no-nonsense attitude of the owner. It was a continental style breakfast but there is a five star bakers next door. Its a Scottish Pub so keep it like that

The pub is really friendly, the owner is a really nice guy.

No food available, you have to sort it yourself. Breakfast is a do it yourself, they supply the food, you make it. No problem with that but no mention of it when booking.

Warm room and comfy, clean bed. Plenty to eat and drink.Nice welcome from the barman who was busy but made time foe a warm welcome.

    I would have liked :- 1) A hook to hang a coat or clothes. 2) A wastepaper bin. 3) A bedside lamp.

Nick was a great host at the bar - great conversation - very helpful with suggestions on where to visit. The room was warm and comfortable with a good choice of continental breakfast. (Lisa was given credit for the hard work by Nick!) Would recommend.

There was parking out the back, but squeezy. V. Good cont b/fst things in the room with a fridge. Day staff welcoming. Old style seafront pub. Good WiFi in room. Good ensuit. Good value for what it was - somewhere to stay to catch an early ferry from Cairnryan to Lane (Ire)

Check in/out complicated by staff trying to do credit card on smart phone. Did not work had to pay cash. No kitchen on premises. Night staff unhappy to be asked to turn the heating system on.

The staff Sky tv in the room Location to the P&O ferry terminal The cleanliness of the room and also space

Right above the bar where an 18th birthday party was in full swing late into the night. We were told upon arrival so were kind of prepared but would have been nice to be pre warned as this could have changed our mind about the room.
