Polite, welcoming, efficient staff, (helpful in carrying suitcases for us) a pleasant stay while visiting family over Christmas, excellent breakfasts, and we enjoyed watching the Meet from the comfort of our bedroom!
Loved the location, the rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy. The food is wonderful, and the staff were polite and friendly. Loved getting up to the bell ringing at the church. Really lovely place
Nothing not to like!
Food. Staff. Beds. Atmosphere. Cleanliness.
Shower poor. Could here everybody in adjoining rooms. Water cistern screamed when refilling
Me and my friend stayed at the swan and found the staff very friendly and other guests and locales very friendly their fish & chips are to die for and their breakfast I would stay their again
Excellent staff, nice room (although window did not open and the room was a bit stuffy).
Stayed here before nice hotel very good breakfast , nice rooms
Bed was comfortable; cleaning staff very good; coach house accommodation; breakfast was well cook
Shower under powered and only just about warm enough; staff seemed distracted
location ambience breakfast
pillows road noise shower Windows needed painting
The breakfast was great and set us up for the day!
Bed was a small double in a sleigh design. Although this fitted the surroundings, as my husband is over 6ft tall means he has to sleep with his legs bent!
Staff excellent and v friendly and helpful Comfortable room. Breakfast v good
Food portions on one of evening meals a little on the sparse side, but depends what dishes you have i suppose. Vegetables v hard. Felt meal prices were rather o t t. Only Steak was £22 and Lamb shank £15 so we passed on those. Was pleased to get a last minute booking reduction on price from normal £95 down to £75. Given the evening meal costs approaching £40 we would have rated it as poor value (rather than fair) for money were it not for this reduction.
The location , comfort of the room , friendly staff , very good breakfast , good menu ,local beers good parking
There was not any thing
Room number 5,Large room with two armchairs, good bed, Large TV, hot water. Choice of breakfast in with the price.(£50 for one) Good WiFi . Parking. Polite staff.
Had to wait at bar to check in. Rather feeble shower but HOT water.
Location, food, staff, cleanliness, rooms!!!
Wonderful man serving the food in the bar ...great communicator perhaps should be on greeting your guests at the main door..nice food very good champagne and wine.
Our initial greeting when we arrived...staff seemed too busy to entertain communication to other members of staff that a guest was waiting to be shown there room!!
Only that it was pricey for what it offered
The location, parking facility, cleanliness/comfort of rooms, easy & welcoming reception rooms/bar/dining rooms. Excellent, well cooked breakfasts ! Would definitely recommend!
The only disappointing thing about my stay at the Swan Hotel, was one individual ! All the staff were welcoming & very helpful, except a young blonde 'ponytailed' lady - she seemed to be in a managerial position! Her facial expression, cool attitude was not one would expect from a person in the hospitality business!! On two occasions I experienced her 'frosty coolness' - arriving for breakfast at 10.40 one morning - one was made to feel unwelcome & distinctly a nuisance. I did question if it was inconvenient ?!! A lesson in 'customer awareness ' & a smiley face much needed!!
Could not find fault....
Staff were friendly and helpful the rooms were clean and comfortable and the food excellent. We all agreed we would book rooms at the swan again.
Staff were very helpful. Food was excellent
Rooms a bit stuffy.
Quality of bedroom (suite) Choice at breakfast
Good Location, Friendly Staff, Excellent quality food.
A little on the expensive side however I guess this is what you get in Cheshire, although at the end of the day it is a pub rather than a hotel. Personally I didn't like all the Fox Hunting pictures hung everywhere, this is a very controversial area and personally I didn't like the images, nor did I like the book on Fox Hunting in my room.
Shower unit water cold Knob difficult to turn
Hospitality of the staff , comfort in the room and in the public area , food quality was very good , good selection of bar drinks .
The noise from the next bedroom , I had room 15 which adjoins room 16 by a locked door , needless to say you can hear all that is spoken and done in the next room , thankfully I had elderly ,considerate neighbors who weren't to noisy but if you had younger or less considerate guests it would be terrible at night !
Staff very welcoming, room really comfortable, nice meal, lots of character.
everything.staff,food.room all amazing.highly recommended.
nothing to dislike.!!!!!
