Food and staff good
Floor outside bathro subsiding and carpet damp after shower means a leak in the drainage system
Room cosy well furnished. Evening meal Very Good. Staff efficient.
Breakfast on the tow subsequent days we stayed very poor.Slow service and poor presentation and Quality. Looked and tasted as it had been warmed up not freshly cooked. Room very noisy most of Night and day due to traffic noise.
Location, hotel layout, room facilities
Everything was so homely and comfortable, had a great sleep in a huge bed and loved everything about the room.
Shame there was only a bath and not a shower.
Lovely luxurious bed linen Quirky bedroom theme free standing baths excellent food excellent value very polite efficient friendly staff
Rooms can be a little warm room 4 backs onto a generator from the kitchen and was a little noisy
Room was beautiful and wonderfully clean and well organised. Bed extremely large and comfortable. Food in the restaurant delicious and good parking availability. Friendly restaurant staff.
Couldn't open the window because there was a big heater outside so a bit stifling in the room. Staff a bit vague. Not sure who we had to talk to if we had had a problem as nobody seemed to be in charge of the rooms.
food, quietness, reception
bath a little high to climb into, everything else very good
Very nice room
The friendly staff. The cozy pub. The delicious cider. The cornish toiletries.
Only a bathtub and no shower.
To be fair. Everything. Attention to detail. The staff all knew what they where doing and how to do it. Their manners where impeccable, the layout, the beer garden and a really warm buzz about the place
Only one small thing. The shower in the bath. Room 4. Not the best
Loved the atmosphere and ambiance of the bar as we checked in. Our room was beautiful and any issues we had were met with quick solutions. Comfy beds, wonderful bramley products and food to die for. Was a luxury stay and will definitely be back. Thanks
Cleanliness was something that lacked. Just needed a damn good dusting and a but more attention to detail. Everything had a thick layer of dust and saw a few coffee splashes over the table legs.
Good food, great selection of beers, lovely garden and patio area.
Spotty wifi in the guest rooms - you have to go downstairs to the bar area to access it.
The room was very comfortable and a great size - the furnishings were quirky.
Food, big bath and big bed
Comfortable room, I prefer rooms with a comfy chair to sit in /watch Tv from post dinner and prior to sleep. Style of Food Interesting village to stay in
Nothing except have a preference for a shower ratherthan bath
staff, decor, room, breakfast- amazing, the smellies in the room-lush! An altogether fab stay - we will go again !!
Great food, both dinner and breakfast. Friendly staff, very knowledgeable about the area.
Room 3. Could do with double glazing, external sounds intrude.
Gorgeous room and bathroom. Lovely bar and restaurant. Free WiFi. Free parking.
Lovely location - great for walks in area, including Cheddar Gorge. Nice food in restaurant. Great for a weekend break!
Fab room - we had Room 1, which has the claw foot bath in the bedroom - lovely! Very nicely furnished too.
Room was spacious with a fantastic standalone bath in the ensuite. Nice selection of products in refillable bottles which makes economic as well as environmental sense
Room could have been cleaner - lamp covered in dust and carpet not properly vacuumed. Also no chest of drawers or cupboards which would be annoying if staying more than one night. Also at dinner it would have been nice to have one of the two tables in the bar area that remained empty rather than a table in the restaurant entrance corridor. Food good - one main a bit bland but tart amazing.
Very nice restaurant and pub area - very friendly
Would have liked a sofa or chair in the room itself - it was big enough - for the rainy days
Big bath, comfy bed, good food and beer...
