The welcome was lovely.
The bed was not wide enough.
Was on a course for 5 days so stayed 4 nights in the Swan Hotel. Stay was very pleasant bedroom had a really comfortable bed although room a bit dated everything was fine. Tea & coffee in the room which is always great.
Shower door was a bit iffy told staff and they said they had reported it but nothing changed over the 4 days?
I liked the staff they were friendly & helpful freshly cooked breakfast was very tasty hotel is in lovely area
Reasonably priced well cooked food. Good value for money and helpful staff.
Although my room was at the back it was still fairly noisy as the hotel is on a major junction.
Comfortable room with good facilities. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good.
The Swan Inn is situated in a small town on the main road and is one of three. It therefore has a problem with noise if you are someone who retires early or a light sleeper it is an issue.
A good all rounder, rooms great, bar friendly, staff lovely and a good breakfast. A clean well placed hotel. Would definately go back.
Nothing to dislike at all.
Breakfast, nice area.
Carpets on stair and in room have seen better days, soft furnishings in room stained, no food orders after 20.45. Classed as hotel which it is not.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good central location. Very good breakfast. Good menu - variety, quality & VFM. Free parking. Comfortable well furnished rooms.
WiFi signal very weak and unusable. Road noise but that's to be expected.
the excellent standard of the bedroom
breakfast finished a little early during the week. meals finished a little early on Sunday evening
Room was a decent size, as was the bathroom and the shower worked fine. Also, a bottle of water in the room - why don't all hotels do this? The food was nice and my breakfast poached eggs were exquisite!
The Swan is an ancient hostelry but with furniture and fittings. Its been offering a comfortable stay to travellers for centuries and still does today. We ate in the restaurant - pub food but well cooked and the breakfast was good too.
Good food and beers available and right in the centre of the village
Some loud noises during the day that made all the light fittings rattle. We thought it was a train at first but never did work out what it was. Night time was peaceful though.
Everything was perfect and the staff were really helpful!
I liked the feel of the place, the friendliness of the staff, the location, the size and layout of the room (facing quiet car park) and huge bathroom
I didn't so much like the very loud PA system right underneath my bedroom for the pub quiz (ended around 11pm), no room service on 2nd day of my stay (bed not made, bathroom not cleaned, mugs, etc not taken away), fermented orange juice at breakfast and being given warmed up smoked mackerel when I asked for kippers for breakfast (as advertised). These are fairly simple things to get right and it would make an enjoyable stay even better on another occasion if they were sorted.
Excellent breakfast, very comfortable room, although a little noisy at night
Staff friendly. Location good. Breakfast excellent.
No light or fan in the bathroom. Not even a bulb in bedside light.
- Location - Comfortable rooms - Easy parking
- Noise from the main street after mid-night - Poor quality yoghurts and no natural yoghurt for breakfast
Lovely village inn in central location. Room facilities and comfort very good. Plenty parking to the rear. Staff very friendly.
No television remote in room. The Wifi was very poor throughout the bar and rooms area. Breakfast was average and the fruit looked very tired.
Room pleasant and convenient location.
First room taken to was not made up and the second room I was given had used cups and rubbish in the bin, only cleared away the following day.
Location, staff were very helpful and room price was good value
Breakfast. Quality was very poor and I would have paid a little more for better quality produce
A very good breakfast served by a pleasant guy, bathroom huge, good parking and very central location.
Steep stairs with no lift so some could struggle with cases, guess they would carry them for you if asked, night we were there was a very noisy party going on with a group..still thats life, nothing wrong with parties but it was noisy.
Staff very courteous and helpful; food excellent; bed comfortable; large ensuite; room clean and tidy; good atmosphere. Good value for money.
Bedside table lamp did not work and was not fixed during stay.
The room was lovely and staff were great
the shower seemed to only have 2 temperatures, freezing or scalding.
