WiFi was good in all areas. Food was excellent.
Bedroom and Bathroom dated. Cramped solo Breakfast in the bar while there were empty tables in the restaurant. Staff appeared to be under pressure and unable to pay attention to customers.
would have been nice for my room to lock from the inside (room 15)
TV too high uo on the wall in bedroom
couldnt make the night, called in for beer, great pint, understanding staff
Great staff Good location good restaurant
We found the staff friendly, happy to help. Food was good, rooms comfortable and the bar was a lovely place to have a drink after a day out and about.
I think the bed linen although was very clean it was looking a bit tired.
Very narrow bathroom. Had to sit on loo on the angle. Needs grips in the bath as you have to hold onto towel rail to get out.
Staff very friendly nothing too much trouble. Good food at a fair price. Excellent breakfast not restricted to set menu if you wanted a different mixture it was no trouble. Food always hot on hot plates so it did not go cold
Not too fond of creaky bed but did sleep well. Was worried I might disturb my daughter as I am normally a restless sleeper, but it was ok.
friendly staff good service relaxed atmosphere hotel grounds
The staff were very friendly and went out of there way to make our stay enjoyable, the food was excellent and great value .the bedroom was very clean, as was the ensuite. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends

Staff were friendly, food good value, Good real ale.
Like a lot of hotels, certain areas need work doing, i.e re-decorating etc.
The whole experience was really good. The food was great, the staff friendly and helpful and the accommodation very comfortable. The setting is also nice and surprisingly quiet and peaceful. We would certainly go there again!

Main road noisy first thing in the morning and could t close the window. Could do with new double glazed Windows .
Service, surroundings, food & comfort. Always aware that every need would be filled immediately, inside or out. An excellent centre from which to explore this beautiful county & its history.

Price - friends staying over the road at Black Bull paid half the price we did for what seemed a much better hotel Breakfast was very poor standard and quality and only served until 9 at weekends!! Rooms were very shoddy...the whole place is in need of investment
Had a great stay here. The garden out the back was perfect for my daughter and she loved playing on the slide and swings. The staff were helpful and really made us feel welcome. Fab breakfast and dinner! Will definitely be back.
The garden and play area were very nice
We had ants in our room ,coming in via the window frame .
