Bar lunch and evening Christmas dinner first class
The staff could not have been more helpful and charming. The food was good and the accommodation was cosy and comfortable
Excellent location, wonderful room, bed was comfy. Staff were extremely helpful.
Room, food, staff, location.
Wi-fi poor in the bedroom. That's it!
Fantastic bathroom a proper bath loads of hot water. Lovely people nothing was top much.Fabulous breakfast and evening food We will return for sure. Thank you
Very comfortable room which was a good size. Good quality bedding and towels. Nice eye for detail overall. Extra glazing on windows cut out traffic noise from road outside. Highlight was definitely the food especially the salmon fillet with cauliflower three ways - delicious!
Wonky loo seat and broken bin in bathroom. There was background noise while the bar was open but outside of bar hours it was very peaceful.
Very friendly, clean and comfy rooms. Food excellent.
Very poor wi-fi reception in bedroom.
The room was lovely and clean, the staff were friendly in the evening although the service wasn't great as they were busy and focussed on local customers.
The room was unbelievably noisy until about 12.30am so really difficult to sleep especially if you have any children. The waitress serving breakfast was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. If you have any form of dietary requirements the Thatched Cottage will not cater for you even if you put it on your booking form as requested.
Everything was great. Staff helpful and friendly, Good evening meal. Very comfortable room. I'm going back one day.
Not much to do nearby.
The overall excellent product is enhanced by great staff
Brilliant staff, nice and quiet room, excellent breakfast, comfortable bed
dated bathroom, broken toilet seat, blocked sink and very poor WiFi signal.
warm welcome upon arrival,no problem getting a table inthe restaurant even though it was busy, great room, great food, super atmosphere in the pub which is obviously enjoyed by the locals and an excellent breakfast the following morning. We will definately return when back that way.
couldn't find fault!
Made very welcome, staff excellent, very good service from everyone, would certainly recommend to others .The hotel was clean and the food was also excellent .
All of it except...
No tissues !
The staff were very friendly Stephanie and the staff were very accomodating as we were a large group and a few of us were delayed for lunch but nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent - rooms very clean and comfortable. Would reccomend to others.
Bathroom was not as modern as the bedroom. There was a shower above the bath. It would have been better to just have a shower cubicle which would have been easier for anyone of any age to use. I have arthritis and found it difficult to step into the bath.
Loved the service provided. Each and every member of staff was amazing.. both friendly and helpful.. and made us feel like part of the family. The standard of the room, food and overall quality of the place was outstanding. This is a top class establishment, run with care and attention to detail. Heartily recommend.
We had a fantasic stay at the thatched cottage, staff were all very nice made us welcome from the time we got there till the time we left. The meals were brilliant, very hot and fresh. What a beautiful building we will be back soon. Thanks to everyone who works there.
Very friendly staff Lovely old building Nice food in evening, though not outstanding Excellent breakfast Clean, big double room with comfy bed
Situated on noisy road junction - poor night sleep with window open, but good secondary glazing keeps noise out if it's cool enough to keep it closed (our room was at front of building near road) Wifi hit and miss
We loved everything about the place. All the staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was amazing, all freshly cooked and there was a good selection on the menu to chose from, and all very reasonably priced. The room was excellent, really clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's very tastefully decorated throughout the whole place and has a very relaxing feel to it.
Our room was above the main entrance so very noisey due to smokers and revellers outside late at night.
The breakfast was great, enhanced by the excellent breakfast waitress
Comfortable and relaxing bar area with leather sofas. Excellent food both in quantity and quality. Fantastically comfortable bed.
bed was comfortable, large room, breakfast was good
no residents bar, noise from road traffic
cobwebs on window above bed some lighting not working
