Superb mix of old world pub and contemparary new design. Stayed in the old part of the hotel and the room was fine. The food was fantastic and staff were friendly and helpful at all time. Would stay again and recommend without hesitation.

The location of the hotel & the open fire in the lounge.

Some of the staff seemed somewhat inexperienced (although it maybe that this was becasuse the hotel was very busy for the bank holiday)

We love this hotel. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are great and the good is amazing. We've recommended this hotel to friends and family who have now also stayed and have loved it as much as us!

    Location. Easy accessible

It was not possible to order an omelette for breakfast (which is a shame) The dinner menu should have more meals to choose from.

Lovely quaint old village with thriving local businesses. A few local pubs to chose from who all did evening meals at reasonable prices. Three Crowns staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful.

    There was nothing to dislike.

Room a wee bit small for our liking but not a major issue.

We liked the little peacefull village and green views. The room was small but clean, comfortable and cosy.

The breakfast buffet was poor, there was no yoghurt, no vegetables or fruit.

We liked the location. The inn was well refurbished and very clean. The food was good and staff very nice.

The room was very small. We could not really open our two suitcases. The bathroom while clean smelled of humidity. The ventilation system could be heard from the room when the window was open, it was quite loud.

Small but well run quaint hotel. Very friendly staff. Welcoming. Excellent food and value restaurant. - Don't miss the entertainment value of the two 'General stores' in Chagford. They look like little shops but inside are like the Tardis!

The bathroom was modern but perhaps a little too petite. There's room for a bigger shower and basin.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room. Great breakfast (except non- crispy bacon).

Our room and bed felt small (we had a standard room). I woke up with my feet sticking out the bottom of the bed and I'm only 5ft 9'. Parking only reserved for superior rooms. Very thin walls - maybe this is to be expected in an old building tho.

Greeted by friendly staff and was offered help with the bags. Room was nice and cosy with tea and coffee tray, TV, dressing gowns, and slippers. Shower worked a treat with water being plenty hot enough. Bed was nice and comfy. Resturant is spacious, food is good, and reasonbly priced. Menu selection is adequate but not extensive.

Church clock chimes every hour through the night. Hotel car park is somewhat limited but there's plenty of parking in the street outside. Although resturant is spacious there are a limited number of tables so it's advisable to book one in advance.

The staff were very welcoming and the food was good in the evening in the restaurant. The bed was very comfortable.

There was a very noisy fan from the kitchens beneath our bedroom window. This fan also completely spoiled the ambiance of the outside seating area. Though stylish the bedroom was very small with over large furniture so there was not room for a bedside table on both sides of the bed. For some reason the towel rail was in the bedroom not the bathroom. The shower was very small with no room to move and there was no shelf space to put anything down in the bathroom.

The staff were excellent. The young lady on reception found us additional information about the town/ village of Chagford. In the evening, even though it was past the time when bar sandwiches were normally available, delicious sandwiches were provided. The room was delightfully decorated with all the necessary facilities. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. A truly exceptional hotel. We will definitely return to the The Three Crowns

Staff extremely friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble

Room 13...tiny double, partner and I could not pass each other as so little room around the bed. Room obviously recently refurbished and lovely new kettle...but no socket to plug it into without physically moving one of the bedside tables to get to a hidden socket there. When mentioned to the member of staff the next morning, they agreed was not good and it had been mentioned before...usually a sign that some action should have been taken before now to resolve it! Food a little pricey!
