Lovely old building, marvellous food, ideal location.
We stayed for two nights, from Thursday to Saturday morning. Couldn't fault the friendliness of the staff, the dining was superb, the room was fantastic, the bed comfy, the facilities excellent.
Nothing, loved the whole experience.
location .great places to eat.
It was a cosy, charming, characterful and comfortable place to stay and much quieter than you might think due to it's location! The decoration was stylish and up to date and very welcoming.
Location was central but on a major junction.
Staff were very good, food excellent. Nice range of wines, though not too daunting. Nice room and en-suite. Tasty breakfast.
Small car park, but not much that can be done about that.
Pounding, thudding music until midnight from speakers right outside the room from a completely empty smoker's garden. Staff said it couldn't be turned down or off until the pub closed. Came for a bit of peace and quiet and certainly didn't get it.
We felt welcome, the room was excellent, and we had one of the best hotel breakfasts in my experience. Definitely a good place to stay.
Everything.Excellent location with free parking, friendly and helpful staff, very spacious and comfortable room, with excellent bathroom.Great food and beer,in a very buzzy enviroment. The full english breakfast, was fabulous.I really cannot find anything to complain about. Congratulations great stay.
A complimentary drink at the bar and use of the wifi TO BOOK ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION
I booked 3 rooms. When we got to the hotel we were informed that there were only 2 rooms available!!!!
Perhaps breakfast should be optional so that the price of the room could be lower
Room was clean, nicely decorated and functional. Pub is well located in the centre of Banbury. Food (when we could get it) was very good.
Apart from the manager, the staff (although plentiful) showed very little enthusiasm to be helpful. Could do with a few more experienced heads.
On arrival thought the location may be a bit noisy but we were wrong. Delicious lunch, dinner and breakfast. Fabulous New Zealand sauvignon blanc! Room spacious, comfortable, quirky and clean. Will definitely recommend to others.
The only potential criticism I would see if it had been busier we would have struggled to have four comfortable chairs together but we started early enough for it not to be a problem, it is set more for dining than lounging.
hospitality comfortable bed and clean room with character
Amazing decor, very comfortable and a fabulous breakfast -would definitely recommend
Late night banging from downstairs ?delivery of kegs or from kitchen but bangs woke us
Quality of food Modern comfortable room
Excellent customer service from the staff who all made extra effort with their 'staying' guests.
Breakfast swamped in oil and undercooked.
extra sofa bed for my baby was superb !! also changed the date to check in no problem at all. 5 stars to staffs
no fridge or mini snack bar
Our room (Peacocks) was very well appointed beautifully decorated and with a quirky bathroom arrangement due to the shape of the eave. With the shower in the bedroom and the toilet and sink in separate room down 3 stairs which was a bit worrying for middle of the night calls of nature. Personally I liked this quirkiness as it was done in a very classy way. The check in was very easy and the staff very friendly and helpful Breakfast was ample however there was no choice of fruit and/or yoghurt and a menu on the tables would have helped to make choices too, we werent offered a choice of brown or white toast but got toasted brioche (not my fave) on the side of my cooked breakfast. Little details but they would have made a very good stay excellent. However if in the area again I would definitely stay again.
Lovely rooms. Food was excellent. Website pictures doesn't do it justice
Rooms were too hot fans not adequate to cool the rooms enough.
The staff were very helpful and very friendly. I was able to entertain customers to an excellent standard of cuisine in the evenings at the excellent restaurant attached
I was their when the temperature was 28/c +. The fan I was supplied with was inadequate to keep the room to an acceptable temperature. (Not bad, when this is the only thing you can complain about, especially when I would have experienced the same in my own home)
The room was immaculate staff pleasant.
The noise from the traffic was horrendous non stop day and night.
We stayed here for one night prior to a trip to Silverstone. The Inn itself is very quaint with beamed ceilings and very tastefully decorated. Outside was a lovely private courtyard area with plenty of tables for a drink outside surrounded with lots of raised flower beds. Our room was of a good size with an ensuite with large shower and was very comfy and welcoming. Everything was provided to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable with toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities. The day we went to Silverstone we had to leave before breakfast was served but the team very kindly offered to provide us with bacon rolls, croissants and fruit to take with us in the morning. Thanks so much to the team and we're only sorry that our stay wasn't longer.
Great dinner menu especially fixed price option. Helpful nature of waitress, especially at breakfast.
Beautiful rooms great good great staff great beer
Everything. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was great as was the ambience,
