The staff are fantastic and the food in the hotel is first class!
Excellent price especially as it included full English breakfast.Friendly staff.Large comfortable room.
Mattress getting very soft.Shower poor ,connected directly to hot and cold tap, water temperature would go from stone cold to scolding hot, great care was needed
noise at night upstairs and room a bit chilly
Good value and clean
Slow service for food
Clean, comfortable, good location.
Far more modern than I was expecting, a bit hotel chain and clinical.
Bed/ bath dirty. Mould in bathroom. Shower attachment that was held by threads fell out. Second day no water - had to go to without washing! Had lasagne - think it was from frozen - and was not even warm. Would not even recommend it to my enemy...
Rooms comfortable and close to lambourn Newbury
Drinks and food a little expensive
Accomadation was lovely food nice, breakfast nice.
Not enough space in the car parks both nights had to park in the raiway car park. Room was very warm which meant i had to open the windows which proved to be very noisy with the outside seating area
Staff really helpful and friendly Secure parking in centre of town Good food Great breakfast especially the local sausages! Great situation for trawling through the antique shops
Shower not good in our room
good location and friendly staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff, and location in the middle of town with car parking. The breakfast was also great
Friendly helpful staff good food Excellent full breakfast labelled continental
The car park was small and very hard to fond as there no directions on the road the council will not let them put up a sign to show where clients can park
Friendly staff, cleanliness. Excellent breakfast. Good parking.
Room needed decorating. Windows needed double glazing - there was a lot of street noise.
Many improvements to rooms and facilities since me last visit. Excellent menu and really helpful staff.
Staff were friendly, breakfast good.
The room given for a mature couple could be called quirky but could also be classed as dangerous. The bed was quite high which I presume was because the floor sloped slightly down to a bathroom, where you had to go down 3 steps of slightly different heights. We had to keep the bathroom light on all night as getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom could be dangerous. This also meant that we had to hear the expel air unit running all night. I'm not sure if all the rooms are as "quirky", but I would avoid room 9 if at all possible
Friendly staff and the hotel offering everything you would want.
My room overlooked the main street and was therefore pretty noisy from early in the weekday morning. Ask for one away from the front if that would bother you!
Still disabled designated parking. No relatively cheap free standing stool in the wet room allowing a disabled person to sit when showering AND still no wheelchair ramp to the main hotel allowing wheelchair users to visit the bar or dining rooom
WARM RECEPTION, FRIENDLY STAFF, VERY SATISFACTORY ROOM (RIGHT OPPOSITE THE STRIKING TOWN HALL CLOCK! BUT STOPPED LATE EVENING) FOOD GOOD
Comfortable beds Good bathroom Good food Excellent restaurant service
Bedside light bulb broken
Food was excellent choice was good bedroom was lovely bathroom clean and roomy. Staff were very helpful and friendly their appearance clean and tidy nothing was too much trouble for them.
DOGS I know you say pets are welcome but there were quite a few and they were in your face a bit ! Some people had several we are not dog lovers personally however we wouldn't hurt them just not our 'scene' !! Some carpets could do with a clean some were very badly stained
Noise State of room Bad TV Bed on a slant
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Wide choice of food on menu and we enjoyed our meal there very much.
The only downside was that the room doors had to be slammed to shut and the person next to us was out of his room at 7.30.
Staff were as nice as possible, in the circumstances.
Terrible, overpriced food, hot room with broken window and curtains falling down, deafening noise from both corridor and street, alternating boiling/freezing water in the shower and all the atmosphere of a train station in what was billed to be an old English-type inn. Dreadful.
No cold water in the tap. TV kept freezing. Food not excellent. Room on the high street very noisy.
