This is a 300 year old English countryside pub/restaurant. If you want something old, quiet, typically English, comfortable and value for money then this is the place, it is just perfect. The locals in this tiny village treat you as if you are one of the locals, people kept saying hello and at first i thought they just had me mistaken for someone they know but they were just being friendly.

The breakfast was very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. On arrival there was a very strong smell of chip fat throughout the hotel. The stairs were steep and access to our room was not easy. The hotel is in much need of updating.

Location in a beautiful village. A pub with great potential which is not being exploited. Tired decoration. Needs complete refurb. Detail - like dust behind the sink and carpet stains. Sunday breakfast with no proper cook. We were completely forgotten and had to fetch staff from kitchen. Breakfast very poor - I was given the crust from the end of the loaf - no butter. Husbands bacon not cooked - left most of it.

The greeting from the member of staff who showed me to my room (Izzzy). The staff swearing and moaning about the hotel and the organisation they didn't like working for. I was particularly unimpressed with the barman who sat in front of the bar, played on his new tablet and drank alcohol from a pint glass.

The staff were very open & friendly as were the majority of the customers. The village is lovely. It needs a little updating and is currently changing landlord and making positive changes.

Was greeted by a friendly member of staff dressed in dirty kitchen wear. The hotel was very tired worn & dirty. It appeared no money had been spent n it since its refurbishment appeox 25 years ago. The only member of staff carried out all duties inc bar work dressed in the same dirty clothes for the duration of my stay. Breakfast was served up floating in fat alll at different tempuratures.

It was set in a lovely little village location and there was also a rock band on in the bar .. The only downside was that the single room had to use the bathroom down the hallway..

The food at the hotel was very nice and reasonably priced Rooms are very basic but this is reflected in the price. Stairs are very steep and difficult to climb up to the rooms.

Nice little village inn, peaceful. Breakfast was passable but not brilliant. Checkout is too early - 10am on a Sunday - which you may expect in a B&B but at a hotel I'd expect to have the room until somewhere between 10.30 & 12.

Staff were friendly and very helpful, particularly when our taxi failed to arrive. Stars to accommodation were very steep an ill lit, this presented a difficult for elderly person in our party. Breakfast arrangements rather chaotic. Pub unable to take credit/debit cards, would have been useful to know that before we arrived. Had spoken to them by phone twice.
