Location to everything was good lakeside short hop for eating out nice and quiet in rooms good for a budget 1 night stay showers work great
outdated decor and some equipment items broken not working but good for budget 1 night stay
Good check in, I was happy with the room, we didn't eat there so can't comment,
Nothing really, there were two weddings on and loud music but we were told about it when we checked in, it didn't bother me
Wifi. Awful. Insects in the room.
Staff was helpful, breakfast was good
the hotel was smelly and old, besides there was a constant noise from the highway which was a disturbance to sleep
Big room, bright , big bathroom, ease of booking
Very squeaky floor boards, could even hear room aboves phone vibrating on the unit.
We liked a place to put our heads. It was nice clean and tidy and quiet.
I was a bit worried by the shower in the bathroom. Either the shower head was broken or the shower hose had a leak. Whichever, the water found its way oto the floor.
Over all a decent hotel. Bar girl excellent nothing a problem.
Mold on tiles in bathroom. Receptionist could smile every now and again.my be she could learn by watching the bar girls attitude. In the middle of no were.
Setting I asked for two extra pillows and got them/ Ironing facilities readily available Heating controllable
1st Floor - no lift. We are a disabled couple. Food and lack of choice, breakfast non existant, had to keep asking staff, who tried hard. Beds suitable for person with back problem. They were HARD! Malfunction of shower. There appeared to be a washing machine running in the next room, caused sleep problems. No alarm facilities for morning awakening. Parting with my money for poor stay and ? Food ?
Breakfast was good
Music blaring under our room from a wedding, my grandson or us could not sleep.couldn't eat in restaurant because we were told they were too busy because they had 3 functions that night.people should be pre warned if this hotel was going to be noisy.to start with we were given a double room instead of a family room as booked.the whole stay was a nightmare, won't be going back again
We both woke with very bad backs springs kept popping up in the bed, also we had to go get our own fan as the one in the room was so dirty it was giving no air what so ever... When asked for a new one was told they didn have any but our room had no windows leading outside
The bed and should defo av a fan that gives cold air
Nothing....awful place would never recommend even to the homeless!!
Everything ....ended up leaving....no food as 3 functions, corridors smelt of sewage, staff useless, cleanliness disgusting!!
Very pleasant barmaid.
small bath, ill fitting side panel and very cramped for room.
Convenient location, easy check in, big rooms and a secure car park.
I have stayed in two different rooms in the last couple of months both bathrooms were in need of updating and the last room needed redecorating as the wallpaper was peeling off all over it. Windows are in need of replacing as they do nothing to stop the noise of the M25.
Receptionist told us on checkin there would be noise tonight as they had three functions that night. I said that might have been nice to have been informed when we booked. She said we booked online so we wouldn't have been told and did we still want the room. We had been out all day at brands, we didn't know the area, what did she think we were going to do!
We thought that the serving & bar Staff needed more training. It is a pity that the service in the 1st floor function suite was marred by the staff having to ferry food across the dance floor from downstairs.
The room and bar and venue for wedding excellent
Room too hot couldn't turn off radiator so had to have windows open and lot of noise from m25.not enough staff in bar. A lot of venues there bar not ready no ice no lemon only 1 staff on for 80 people
The facilities were good they included TV, hair-dryer, tea and coffee and the shower was lovely, enough room for 2!!! This was adequate for what we needed as we were attending the BSB weekend
we were not told until we arrived that their would be noise disruption due to 3 functions being on. We did not mind to much. but the party we travelled down with who enjoy a drink were told the bar would not be open and had to find alternative arrangements. Our room was comfy enough but we were at the front end corner of the hotel were the smoking hut is,and for what seemed like all night the staff were emptying the bottle bins making it difficult to sleep hearing smashing glass. Our friends also had the room number next door but it happened to be at the other side of the hotel!.
Nice big room, comfy bed, very clean bathroom. Only stayed one night as was all fine.
Poor service at breakfast- very small room for the amount of people staying.
Prices for Room Service No additional pillow when asked. No lift. Too noisy even after events finished. Staff had very casual attitude, not helpful on the desk.
I decided to treat me and my partner to breakfast in bed so went for the room service breakfast service for an additional 10 pounds. But to my disappointment they forgot the order so I had to call them to remind them, then 30 min late the food arrived just to realise that half the order was missing incl salt and pepper so had to ring reception again and 10 min later we finally got the rest of the breakfast but they forgot the salt and pepper again so they had to go down stairs to get it. So 45 min late we finally got to eat our breakfast. For an additional charge of 10 pounds I find that service appalling, I complaint to the receptionist and she said that a manager would call me later that day, this is two days ago and I have still not heard anything.
As it was £59.00 it was value for money.
Shower was a lottery, I didn't fit in it and I'm only 6'2"... curtain rail was loose, hose for shower from taps not long enough, I had to stoop and temperature was sporadic, hot to cold and hot again ! Windows locks weren't great, some worn and stained carpets on the landing, TV remote didn't work and didn't have new batteries, so went and got my own ! Parking was ridiculous for the size of the hotel... Other than these small issues, it did the job....
Location. Can't deny good VFM
Unfriendly reception staff attitude. No lift. Poor food. Ambience like a 1950s hotel - cold. hard, unpleasant.
