Score from 259 reviews Very good
Very run down and in need of redecoration. Beds were very creaky.
Location view from room breakfast
Needed decorating and new carpets
Good size bedroom, looked newly decorated, beds very comfortable. Lovely view of the actual iron bridge. got a car parking spot in the car park next to the hotel and a parking permit. Breakfast good and we had an evening meal on the first night. Very nice. Even our eldest granddaughter ate all hers as she often looks at food and is instantly full. Must be the fresh air. We have stayed in the ironbridge 5 times. Three times with our grandchildren. They love all the museums especially Blists Hill.
Downside for my husband as we had put everything in the case was lugging it up 4 flights of stairs. Shops seemed to close early as did a lot of the eateries.
couldn`t take our jack russell in to breakfast
The room was very dated, however was expected due to old hotel it could be do with a complete do over to make it look less depressing. Everything squeaked, the floor boards moved standing still. We had a burning smell overnight, which we found out the next morning was the bathroom. The breakfast service was very poor, got asked what time we wanted it turned up and somebody came asking if we wanted hot food eventually however we had finished our cereal and was ready to leave. We also had to wait ages to check out even though we heard staff laughing and talking just round the corner.
Owner and staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was fresh and had a great view of the bridge.
Bathroom could do with a bit of TLC but was clean and usable.
It was close to the Victorian town. the view from the room could not have been better over looking the iron bridge.
In fairness it does need a but if money spending on it but it did not spoil our stay
Location was superb overlooking the bridge. Friendly staff and freshly cooked breakfast.
Hotel was in need of refurbishment
Location overlooking the Ironbridge. Friendly staff. Good food.
Car parking. Difficult to get luggage into room, especially situated at the top of the stairs with young kids & a dog. Room was small for a family room TV was small & set high up.. so difficult to see.
Being in centre of town in a stunning location
Breakfast was a little greasy for my liking/ better quality sausages needed.
Location; friendly staff; breakfast.
Noisy locals until late
Location fantastic, view from the breakfast room, helpfulness of staff, cleanliness. Britain dese
Tired decor, net curtains obscuring spectacular view from breakfast room, standard of breakfast could be a bit better. The Tontine could be outstanding instead of nice.
Loved the location and only stayed one night. Couldn't really find fault maybe a little tired. Good breakfast and good price.
Location was very good. Staff on the whole very helpful and friendly. Food not to bad.
The room was adequate. Very dusty and one night shared with two very large spiders and swarm of little flies. It was very hot in room because of the weather and opened window hence wildlife. We were offered a fan but didn't think it would be conducive to a restful sleep I.e noise. The tontine could do with updating urgently.
Staff polite and friendly Good breakfast Good sized bedroom
The place is very tired and in need of some TLC.
Location, pleasant staff, enough space and comfy beds. Manager came and fixed the leaky shower and blocked drain in our room fairly promptly. Having a parking ticket was very useful.
Very hot on the top floor where we were sleeping but it is a hot summer.
The location was stunning right in front of the Iron Bridge. The bus stop for touring round the many museums in the area was no more than 25 yards away. The hotel supplied us with a car park pass so we could park at no extra cost. The food was very reasonabley priced for the evening and lunchtime menu's and the breakfast was well anything you could think off, absolutley wonderful.
the fake flowers in the fireplace!! just that nothing else
The family room had proper beds for all members of the family, was clean, well decorated and amazing value for money. We ate in the bar in the evening and where the food was good value for money.
We were lucky enough to have been at the side of the hotel but the other member of our party was in a room directly over the entrance which was very noisy until quite late as this was the outside space for the pub.
Excellent location, fabulous customer service and very friendly staff.
Loved the location of the hotel it was perfect , but needs updating , although very clean things a bit old and past there best , breakfast was lovely , staff lovely and friendly , and single bed was comfiest I've ever slept in
Was red hot while there , room was so hot , needs a fan in summer
Location was great - room overlooking the Bridge. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast good especially for price.
Ideal location, very helpful staff and a very good breakfast service. A very enjoyable stay
No problems whatsoever
The hotel was in an excellent location for the bridge and was in easy reach of other places we wished to visit
Our room was noisy in the evening as above main entrance and I had requested a quiet room. Also we were unable to get any food on the Saturday evening of our stay as they were hosting a wedding reception but we were not advised of this in advance.
Location and the friendliness of all the staff. The parking arrangement was excellent, a real bonus as parking limited in the town.
In need of some modernisation which seems to be in progress. Once complete this will be a fantastic spot. The outside space at the front used by smokers did intrude into our front bedroom with the window open.
