Stug personeel....tapijt mocht wel eens goed gezogen worden ..7 uur in de ochtend vrachtwagen onder mijn raam met in en uitlaadherrie op de hotelparking..

Staff couldn't have done more to assist. Wifi wasn't working in one room so they moved me another without any fuss. Tidy room, reasonably priced dinner and good breakfast. Very pleased.

Appearance is a little dated.

Staff amazing food very good and well priced , not my usual choice being contractor we try to stay as cheep as we can , but must say would deffently stay there again

It was a very comfortable and nice stay at this most charming hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. Had dinner there the night I arrived and breakfast the next morning. The food was delicious and service was excellent.

Not really a complaint but we were in the basement and boy was it hot at night. Could have opened the window but we backed on to a car park was was not keen.

Spacious room and really excellent breakfast included in room price. Near to shops, mall and eating places.

Hard beds. Noisy from some mechanical item, sounded like air conditioning unit. Noisy from lorry at back of hotel just outside bedroom first thing in the morning. Noisy maids first thing in morning.

walls between rooms too thin kept awake on last by couple in next roomhaving cross words,could hear all that was said.not the hotels fault ,just an observation .

Lovely building with loads of character in central location. Friendly bar and staff and clean rooms with adequate facilities for our overnight stay.

Good choice of buffet breakfast items but most were lukewarm.

No television in the bar area? I had to leave the hotel to find a bar with sky television. This meant I was spending money that I would have been spending in the hotel if they had a television.

Booked the delux double room. No7 at the front. Staff were excellent. room was pristine. bed was excellent shower was excellent food was good.

delux room No7 is facing the main road and not double glazed which means you are woken up at 6am by the traffic and church bells. Not that good after a long week of 18 hr days. no food after 2045pm - this was made clear by reception however the keycard wallet states 24hrs. There are takeaways etc about 10 mins walk away though but not good if you want a sandwich or a drink at 11pm when you cant sleep due to jetlag. no hot chocolate with the tea/coffee making facilities and only one small pack of biscuits when the room was booked for a couple. All in all an excellent hotel that is let down by the small details however i would happily recommend staying here rather than the holiday inn express the later of which had hair in the shower amongst other things :(

Clean and comfortable. Ideal location for us.

Our 0900 buffet breakfast had been kept warm for some time and quality consequently suffered. I have stayed at the Tontine at Christmas time in the past and my abiding memory was of a wonderful breakfast.

Very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Adequate restaurant. Excellent bar service.

WiFi kept packing up and had to be reset.

Traditional hotel feel - local hotel always used by family for functions. Had not seen the bedrooms before and was very impressed at decor and comfort and lovely, modern shower room.

Arrived at 9.30pm, too late for dinner and the 24 hour room service advertised in the information booklet was a work of fiction - kitchen closed, no room service. Crisps for dinner!

Nice Hotel in a quite location and close to where I was working. Great breakfast in the morning.

The matress on the bed was very very thin!!!

Room No. 7 was superb, a little tired in places but lovely and relaxing. Staff were more than helpful and in general an ideal location for us as we had a wedding in the town on the Saturday, so arrival Friday in to the room all went well, few drinks in the bar. Couldn't really comment on the food as we did not eat there. Breakfast was sufficient but a little tired, although has to be said there was plenty of choice. No beans though.

Nothing, although the chambermaids did wake us opening and shutting the doors outside our room where they kept the bed linen etc.

The Hotel was in good decorative order given it's orginal age and we stayed in the new wing. The room was clean and modern with the usual expected facilities, kettle, coffee tea, biscuits etc. but where was the shortbread, a slight surprise as we were in Scotland! :) We particularly liked the en suite which had a very large walk in shower. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Our room rate included a full breakfast and there was a good variety of cereals, yoghurts etc. as well, All in all, good value for money.
