Room was very nice
Full of drunk people trying to open the door fighting outside bottles smashing very noisy won't be back
Me & my partner stayed in the honeymoon suite for a night of relaxation. I had a look at the photos before we went & thought it was absolutely beautiful but once I stepped into the room, it took my breath away!! Absolutely stunning! The bed was amazing & comfortable, the jacuzzi was out of this world & the sauna was great also. We also booked a table for the restaurant downstairs - wow! Food was excellent & service was outstanding. Me & my partner will be back very soon! Love love love.

£30 per adult pre auth which meant £150 for us & 3 teenage children over 12yrs Asking for child bed for 10yr old 3 times after our family room given away & finally getting it at 10.30pm Room cost increase by error of £20 on arrival Twin room request was ignored via booking.com to hotel. Conflicting info given causing stress & worry unnessessarily Being shouted at by security 2mins after lights went up at family 21st party to move downstairs, even though we explained we were guests of hotel & our room was on same floor.
Decor Location Parking Wifi Couple of staff
Conflicting information Room cost increase Extra bed request not fulfilled prior Ridiculous pre auth amount of £30 per head! Made to feel like a difficult customer for questioning the additional charges hold incase of damage ( family with young kids).
This hotel is horrible. We booked the honeymoon suite (room 18) as our family needed a break! We asked the hotel if we could add our kids on which wasn't a problem. The room looks lovely. However it is right above the reception which meant you could hear ever person drinking downstairs in the bar and standing at the front doors in the reception. At midnight till 1am there were raised voices - clearly an argument. This woke the baby with a fright who would not settle again as the noise was so loud, this in turn kept my other son awake! The hotel cleaning staff also use our corridor which has squeaky floor boards to get the Hoover and cleaning equipment from the store next to our room so for hours all you could hear is doors banging, squeaky floors, furniture being moved and hoovering!!! This went on for hours, I complained but the man had to do his job! He stated that managment are aware but do nothing about it! This noise kept us awake till 4am. When I complained to the duty manager. He laughed, was rude, stated that we shouldn't even have brought our kids and was disrespectful. I have never stayed at a hotel where I could not sleep or my kids could not sleep because of the noise. I would never stay here again and I would strongly recommend that no one else should either. You do not get a sleep. We were all shattered and left a day early. I have taken this up with head office as their staff can not or will not deal with my complaint seriously. Such a disappointment especially when you see the pictures of the room
Bathroom not very well designed shower made the floor extremely wet and taps on sink slightly to big for the size of actual sink !
stunning room & private spa. Great food.
Noise during the night was very disturbing. Constant banging of doors left us awake for most of the night. Really off putting for possible future bookings. Other reviews state the same issue. Really needs addressed asap.
Bed very comfy. Possibly the best in any hotel I've stayed in. Food & service in restaurant very good.
Shower cubicle was too small to wash in properly. Desk in room far too small to work at. Wireless network inconsistent & kept dropping out. Meal deal voucher made no sense. Even the staff were unsure on what it included & the relevant pricing.
the honeymoon suite prob the best room in scotland
wasnt told about the extra charge off £60 incase we wanted to use the mini bar wasnt aloud to check in at 2pm due to a wedding show couldnt get into room til 5 but the staff were more than helpful and made our stay more enjoyable will defo be back soon
Staff was very friendly and helpful, was always there whenever i needed anything. Room was very clean and had almost everything i needed. Dealt with the heating quickly after i drew it to there attention.
Only 1 issue and that was no bottle opener in room for the bottles in mini bar
Being charged £60.00 on arrival for mini bar and if I never used it would be credited back to me 5 working days later. This was not explained prior to booking the room and left me short of money until it was credited back. If I didn't pay this then I would loose £100 booking aswell
Very well equipped rooms. The bar staff were excellent.
The bar food was ok.
location, staff very helpful ,
light during the night on the side of the step in the room, small space around bed,
Very modern &friendly
Very cold room radiators were off Slow service for breakfast not worth the price
nice food and good toiletries
room too small and only one mirror in bathroom
very helpful & friendly staff
there was an ajoining door between my room and the room to its right. unfortunatley when they got up at 05:00 and decided to make a phone call i could hear every word. Drying your hair at that time of the morning didn't help either. with a door like this between the rooms mean it becomes quick noisy.
nice and near the local bowling stadium Lovely food
heating in bedroom not working alas the first cold weekend when we visited
Rooms and hotel bar etc are beautiful, very high standard
We we're woken by children JUMPING above us from 07:00-09:55 and after a function within the hotel a good sleep was essential for us. Reception advised us that they would be going for breakfast soon so no point saying anything. also having £165 pre authorised for a £105 room is poor.
Clean, modern & friendly. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the menus and pricing looked good. Great bar, good bar staff. The rooms were excellent, with modern & clean bathroom facilities. The beds exceptionally comfortable. I would recommend it to all.
Heating not coming on till late 18.00 or later. Sometimes you arrive early & want to work. Not in a cold room.
I travelled to Scotland on my companies business for the next day. The hotel was relatively easy to find and when I arrived , I was shown to the Stuart Suite. The room was amazing, especially the bathroom area. Just one negative comment , the shower only produced cold water the next morning , and I was not too impressed with that. The staff were extremely pleasant in all departments ( reception , restaurant and breakfast staff) and I would definitely recommend the hotel to travellers. I did think the price was a bit high, but this I am sure was due to the fact that the devolution vote was the next day , and rooms were at a premium Mike Hoare Sales Manager ( Europe) Patterson Pumps Ireland
The hotel presents well .dining facilities were good and parking was good.
We thought we had booked and paid for a family room as we had a lot of luggage to sort out before we flew out. We finished up with a small room that had an interlocking door that was locked. The problem was there were noisy people next door and the door didn't insulate the noise at all. Finally at 1 am after a couple of calls we were moved to another room which was better. The hotel has lots of weddings and cabaret type of events so I don't recommend it particularly on a weekend.the second room was still quite small.
Our room was exceptionally clean and well decorated. The Hotel Staff were very attentive even if a wee bit stretched on Friday Night.
reception forgot to book a table for us in Restaurant and also forgot that we ordered a morning newspaper. The restaurant was also way too noisy and you could not have a proper conversation or hear the waiters when they spoke to you.Food was good though. Apart from the above we would stay there again.
*Staff *Room was good but could've been bigger
*Couldn't get a late check out *Missed breakfast because I was ill and had to rush to check out
