I liked the cheery welcome, and this friendliness lasted throughout our stay. I also liked the room - though the toilet was pretty small. The evening meal was excellent, and again the staff were nice. Breakfast was also excellent.

As previously stated, the room toilet was very small for a large person. At dinner, the cheapest wine was over £20 a bottle - though it was very nice. These little faults didn't spoil my stay at all, and I'd have no hesitation in returning.

The ambience of the place is perfect for a rather special stay , elegant surroundings of a country house , yet not pretentious . Attention to details from hand baked biscuits to upmarket bath products in the rooms. The food is beautiful and demonstrates the knowledge and skill of a chef who really understands food. The staff make the Traddock what it is. Everyone is so friendly and can't do enough for you, not just professional, but with an interest in their visitors . Holding a knowledge of the local area , staff were able to advise on walks and the hotel was great at lending us a map. Quite simply the most relaxing stay !

We liked the Molton Brown toiletries and the quality of the accomodation. The staff were also extremely helpful.

The WIFI signal was intermitent and provision of bathrobes would have completed our experience.

A gem of a find. Exceeded our expectations and made for a lovely relaxing stay.

I am splitting hairs here, as this negative was far outweighed by all the positives of the stay and would not deter me from returning. Our shower room was a little chilly on account of their being no heated towel rail.

A surprise to find this hotel in the village of Austwick. We found the food excellent and cooked as we requested, and the consideration of the staff was very high indeed. A really good stay.

The surrounding countryside, the beautiful hotel - the excellent customer service - very welcoming and efficient. The restaurant is fabulous and our dinner on the first evening was superb . The small touches are appreciated (Molton Brown toiletries, thick fluffy white towels, water and tea/coffee facilities - books & magazines etc. The hotel is obviously well loved by all that work there and this is reflected in their great demeanour and care of the guests needs.

Purely a personal observation - we booked for 2 nights and it was a surpise form my husbands birthday - the room we had for the first night was a little claustrophobic in that it had one small window and only 1 chair etc (tho it had a window seat) there was no room to move. However the hotel kindly moved us for the second night to a larger brighter room- with no fuss - much !

We loved the Traddock- it's beautifully decorated and the grounds are lovely. We found the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. It' also perfectly located to explore the Dales and even the Lake District. We would happily return.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very nice and little touches like homemade biscuits and fresh milk with the tea tray was good. Also fresh fruit & water in the room. The bar and restaurant were very good and breakfast superb.

Its not really a dislike its just that the building is very old and therefore has creeky floorboards - that can't be help though - just a heads up if you don't like period hotels!
