Welcoming staff, lovely room and location.
Loved the peacefulness. A wonderful place to escape. Staff very warm and friendly.
Our toilet handle had broken do wouldn't flush without us having to lift cistern lid and putting our hands in to manually flush!!!
Location was great for walking. Great property with fantastic views. Breakfast good and great vegetarian sausages. Nice big room with views to the countryside. Very quiet. Fantastic home made cookies, biscuits
Stuffy nature of clientele - esp the retired type. If you like a relaxed atmosphere in the dining area then this isn't the place - it's all hushed. Bathroom was very disappointing, small shower room with toilet that didn't flush well and hand basin in the room itself
This was a mid week break for my son and I in preparation for a 3 peaks walk. The setting is lovely, the staff genuinely warm, friendly, efficient and very helpful. The room was great, very large Georgian bay with high ceilings and a very comfortable super king (for myself!) and a comfortable single for my son. The food was superb, some of the best I have had anywhere.
A minor (and I mean minor) whinge was that the bathroom could've been a tad bigger. It was well appointed, clean and lots of fast running hot water, but when you are six foot five and your son the same, you notice these things a bit! But that really is whinging a bit!
Staff Country house feel Garden Bathroom and plumbing
Food was a bit clunky
Staff - excellent Great, large room
Setting, good food, pleasant decor and plenty of sitting around space
Two flights of stairs to our room!
Excellent throughout the stay
The staff were very personable, friendly but polite and professional. The restaurant was excellent.
I liked the cheery welcome, and this friendliness lasted throughout our stay. I also liked the room - though the toilet was pretty small. The evening meal was excellent, and again the staff were nice. Breakfast was also excellent.
As previously stated, the room toilet was very small for a large person. At dinner, the cheapest wine was over £20 a bottle - though it was very nice. These little faults didn't spoil my stay at all, and I'd have no hesitation in returning.
The ambience of the place is perfect for a rather special stay , elegant surroundings of a country house , yet not pretentious . Attention to details from hand baked biscuits to upmarket bath products in the rooms. The food is beautiful and demonstrates the knowledge and skill of a chef who really understands food. The staff make the Traddock what it is. Everyone is so friendly and can't do enough for you, not just professional, but with an interest in their visitors . Holding a knowledge of the local area , staff were able to advise on walks and the hotel was great at lending us a map. Quite simply the most relaxing stay !
We liked the Molton Brown toiletries and the quality of the accomodation. The staff were also extremely helpful.
The WIFI signal was intermitent and provision of bathrobes would have completed our experience.
This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful part of Yorkshire. Great walking if you want it but if not some nice places to visit. Food excellent as well.
Location ,first class friendly staff, good food. Cleanliness.
Well what can I say, everything was excellent. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was beautiful.
A gem of a find. Exceeded our expectations and made for a lovely relaxing stay.
I am splitting hairs here, as this negative was far outweighed by all the positives of the stay and would not deter me from returning. Our shower room was a little chilly on account of their being no heated towel rail.
it was a lovely experience
A very comfortable country hotel with really good food, wines and friendly and courteous staff. Located in n ideal part of the Yorkshire Dales with good scenery and walks A great place for a peaceful short break.
There was nothing to dislike! Our stay was fantastic. Staff very efficient and friendly, hotel comfort superb in every way, breakfast and evening meal 1st class,we rate this the best we've stayed in and can't wait to return.
Having to leave after only one night!!!
The staff were always very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure you had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. We only had bed and breakfast in the hotel but found everything met and exceeded expectations.
