Food was poor, much of the menu not available
Lovely country pub with welcoming locals and friendly staff. Excellent food!
Relaxed atmosphere. Real pub.
Staff cleanliness facilities
A convenient stop to visit Cambridge before a midday flight from Stansted. Easy bus into town. Motel style room.
Friendliness of staff. Breakfast.
Plumbing could do with some work. No hot water in sink - poor flow in shower. Heater worked really well when we got it going, but could do with some simple instructions!
Clean rooms, air conditioned (which is a bonus in the UK), well located in a quiet village outside Cambridge and near to a supermarket if needs be. Provided me with a vegan breakfast too. Would happily stay again.
Doors weren't numbered which meant I had to count the rooms I walked past when inebriated ;)
Good food great location for what we wanted
Room cold when we arrived but did not take long to warm up
Peaceful location with a nearby bus stop which provided quick (less than 10 minute journey) access to the centre of Cambridge. The bar served good food in the evening and there were also several other nearby options of pubs and restaurants.
Staff were very pleasant and approachable . value for money, breakfast was excellent
Size of telly very disappointing. Only downside to our stay.
Friendly staff Comfortable bed Good heating system and hot water Delicious breakfast included On direct bus route into Cambridge Parking
Shower could have had a bit more water pressure
Clean, bright rooms. Friendly staff and great breakfast.
If wanted to be picky then some heat on prior to arrival in freezing conditions would have been appreciated !!
I stayed at the Lord Byron Inn a few times for work. The staff have been really, really nice and friendly. Once, my car wouldn't start in the morning because the battery went flat, the staff were really helpful - even though we didn't manage to get the car started after all. There's a good choice of cooked and continental breakfast. Pretty close to the park&ride if you want to go to the city centre.
In winter the rooms can get a bit cold, but to be fair all of them have heating that works properly. Room 1 has weak wifi signal but in all the others it's good - and fast enough to watch video in streaming.
Great destination for visiting cambridge and would use this place again. Friendly and helpful staff and would recommend The Lord byron inn.
There seemed to be a lot of banging from above from the lift area! This banging was vey loud and keep us awake. Don't know where the noise was coming from?
Staff, location, rooms
Bed not very comfortable, creaked and speings were awful, shower needs repairing virtually no water pressure
Good location to walk into Cambridge. Quiet. Good breakfast.
Staff were very obliging
Limited menu, no mirror in the bathroom so I awoke my wife when leaving early. Light in passage left on all night and curtains allowed the light through so the room was lit like daylight.
Comfy bed Good size rooms
(Room 9) Bathroom heater didn't work Creaky floor boards Thin walls Bed wasn't made one of the days Inclusive breakfast served too late to have Poor wifi connection
Helpful staff Superb breakfast choice Quietness of room location
Limited evening menu choice
Good location for a wedding at Ansty Hall and easy to find from the motorway.
The accommodation was more Butlins chalet than a decent hotel room.
Really excellent full English breakfast with friendly helpful service.
Nothing to dislike.
Cosy Cabinlike Room. Small but Very Clean!!!!
2 Mile Walk to City Centre, Obviously Not Lord Byron's Fault.!!!
easy access to hospital which was the purpose of our trip friendly staff, good breakfast, and bar food. Everything was good.
We liked everything.
Beds Staff Breakfast
Room was fine and beds comfortable.
Shower was black around edges as were the tiles. The drain was slow to clear so you were standing in water. Not very good water pressure. Food was dry as if overcooked.
