I stayed for 2 nights in September, I had a lovely stay, staff were friendly and helpful it was spotlessly clean, very good value for money. I didn't have breakfast because I have allergy problems they did offer to cater for me and the breakfasts I saw looked good. I liked the fact breakfast was an optional extra, I think it's unfair that someone travelling alone pays the same as a couple.
Friendly staff, excellent room, great choice and quality of breakfast, helpful with requests we made. Great value.
Theentrance was a bit of a surprise, we weren't sure we were in the right place and stair carpets made us wonder what the hotel would be like. We needn't have worried. Don't judge a book by it's cover, inside was lovely.
Close to Bus Station Close to Shops Comfortable Bed Nice Clean Bathroom Friendly Staff Pet Friendly
No Toiletries Only a few Freeview TV Channels
It was good enough in all respects and value for money. I'd stay there again.
Poor indication of reception entrance.
Staff freindly. Breakfast very good.
Shower needs upgrading, very tricky to get water temperature correct & maintain it, suggest an electric unit. Curtains required on both room windows. Air/freshen the room before guest arrival - room smelt foisty. Repair extractor fan in bathroom.
For the money it was good. The staff were pleasant, the breakfast excellent. It was close to all amenities. We enjoyed our stay.
Breakfast very good value, all fresh produce, small dining room but staggered sittings, service was excellent.
Stairs, would benifit from a lift.
Good central budget accommodation, Clean, nice breakfast.
Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice.... The host was very helpful and chatty. Room lovely and comfortable with beverage tray and TV.
Bathroom was dated but due to be updated and decorating on stairs was need of updating but this didn't affect our overall experience of the hotel. Concerned that we had a room at the front if the hotel but wasn't disturbed to much by passers by
Breakfast Central location Pet friendly Value for money
Steep steps to to reception and rooms on first floor. Tea, coffee toilet roll not replenished. While centrally located, very noisy outside with 2 nightclubs and taxi rank opposite
Room was clean and tidy.Central location.
Rooms were dated, in need of freshening up. Some of the staff could do with being a little more attentive and smile. No on site parking though there is a pay and display opposite.
Very good breakfast Staff helpful and pleasant
The room was too hot I think a locked cupboard had a boiler in it.
Comfortable bed Breakfast very good
Untidy in communal areas Shower had no water pressure and toilet didn't flush easily Wallpaper peeling off in places Tape covering up worn carpet on stairs
Breakfast Cost Cleanliness
Only basic facilities Night club underneath premises, very noisy outside.
good hosts very helpfull rooms were clean and comfortably breakfasts were okay located in good position
while the hotel was located in a good position. parking was difficult. we are disabled so stairs proved a bit of a problem. and the hotel is located next door but one to a night club which was quite noisy after 11 o clok at night
Good price. V clean and warm. V good breakfast Good location. Cannot fault it
Very comfy bed
Room was shabby needed upgrading think we got one of the pet friendly rooms as the smell of dog in bathroom
Nice spacious room..Friendly staff
With room overlooking the bus station there was all that early morning noise you get with buses revving up to get going ....but it wasn't over intrusive. Breakfast was pleasant enough.
The rate - one of the lowest in Skipton - location right in the middle of the town
Can do without the sticky tape on the carpets
Comfortable, friendly, appropriate for our needs, personal service. A week later we spent the night at a Travel Lodge in similar circumstances and would recommend our stay at the Unicorn Hotel over and above our experience at the Travel Lodge.
Noticed cracked plug sockets and possibly out-dated sink, although homely, care could be taken to make sure this type of thing is not tolerated.
Man and younger lad went out of his way to help. Bed was ok. Breakfast Was great.
Asked to go up another flight of stairs after previously asking for bedroom lower Down due to walking stick. As last nights guests wanted to stay another night. Wallpaper peeling off every wall. Floorboards terribly squeaky. Bath side wasn't on. Lino Around. Bathroom floor didn't fit leaving dirty gaps at all edges. Bed was ok but only get 1 pillow. Didn't sleep well. Chinese. Near and could hear them until midnight. Parking a bit faffy. But 2 teabags for 2 ppl please at breakfast lol
the comfy bed and warm room the hearty breakfast - lasted me all day!
poor shower only hand towel provided by mistake no soap no shower gel or shampoo no outside parking guaranteed poor tv reception
Very friendly owners who are keen to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are simply furnished but comfortable. Excellent breakfast provided with no skimping on either quality or quantity. The hotel is also very central for the town.
everyone was helpful, we were there on our 56th wedding anniversary and we were in a lower room, which was a great help. The location is handy as we travel by bus, and it is only a short walk to the market and town center. Thankyou
couldn't find fault
Location great, large room, value for money, good breakfast
