Jody was brilliant.. Managed to laugh and joke even though she was always busy. Even at breakfast she was still smiling! would most definitely stay there again.

The rowdiness outside after we went to bed.... Had to shut the windows.

Friendly staff location was perfect Nice old world pub

Our evening meal was so bad we couldn't eat it. I would not have served it up at home and it was only a burger. Even the bar staff admitted the chips were dreadful.

The location was amazing. The rooms cute with all the amenities you need. I love that you could walk into town or to the sea. Breakfast was yummy with many choices.

Evening meal in the pub was tasty.

Room set up was rather odd - listed as en-suite, but there was a corridor (which could be locked) between the bedroom and the bathroom, which had a window in it. Not ideal when the bathroom is too small to get changed in. Bathroom a little dirty - mould in the grouting, and shower cubicle tiny. Would not fit a tall adult! Milk for cereal in the morning was off.

Very nice room but a little too small for the price perfect location, just 1 minute from the see, the rooms were clean, the breakfast table no it was all sticky. Too expensive.

Too expensive for small bedrooms, sticky breakfast table

    interesting room decoration

Our bedroom window was (5 foot)immediately above the pub entrance which had an extended licence until 2am. Yes, it was noisy and disturbed our sleep. Maybe that room should not be booked on those occasions, or for a very reduced rate from £109 we paid.

What a lovely B&B. The rooms are lush, the beds and pillows divine. Lots of nice touches (won't spoil the surprise if you stay here ;-)). I am definitely coming back ...

The location and proximity to Cowes.

Very disappointing. An email to advise of kitchen closure would have been good customer service. As it was the surroundings and furniture would not have enticed us to order lunch or dinner. The lounge area is in serious need of a makeover. Bedroom or bathroom not cleaned during our stay. Had to clamber over laundry bags etc at the bottom of stairs. Strange that bar stopped serving at 10.30, "last orders" not called. Would not return or recommend.

Very welcoming and helpful on arrival and food on Saturday night was very good

Not being told that kitchen was not open on Sunday evening when it said it closed at 8.00pm Sundays in paperwork - after a long day working to return and be unable to get food was not acceptable and also having a Karaoke evening in progress right under our room - had we known about no food on Sunday and the Karaoke we would have gone elsewhere

Over-priced, Karaoke till 23h20 on Sunday night, mediocre breakfast. Would not stay here or recommend to anyone. Rooms not quaint, just pokey.

Easy to find great location nice welcome Sunday lunch was just like my home cooking and the evening meal we wanted to tweak a bit and they were more than happy to do it.

the music was far too loud for the size of the bar so the sounds were distorted from rebounding off the walls, maybe better if the pub was more busy with people, had to leave and finish our evening in another pub.
